Gionino's Pizzeria, Austintown OH

Surprisingly good pizza! I'm a bit wary of franchised pizza places, as they often seem to be hit or miss, but this place was definitely a hit. I've ordered from them a few times and have never been disappointed. They are for sure better than any of the big national chains. I'd recommend giving them a try!

The food is good but it is never ready when they tell me it will be. The pizza is always ready and sitting around while the wings are still cooking. I regularly end up getting home with hot wings and cold pizza.

I was wearing a Steelers shirt when i went in to pick up our order. The guy inside said “get out” “I’m not serving a Steelers fan”. I thought it was a joke. He was serious. We called back and the person answering the phone said “ok have a nice day”. This is hard to believe. We’re gonna report this to Gionino’s corporate office and find out if the Newton Falls location has the same owner.

Usually they are good however on Oct 5,2023:

Called at 4: 30 and placed order for a pizza and an antipasto salad With Ranch dressing was told 25-30 minutes since I live close I left 20 minutes later - upon arrival my pizza was already under the lights and salad was not prepared I was told it would be ready in 3 minutes.

Another customer came in had to wait for his pizzas and I was still waiting, my pizza is still under the lights. Finally they come out and say they don't have any ranch dressing. I said just give me the salad so after waiting all that time I am back on the road at 5: 11.

Is the grease on the bottom of the pizza from sitting under the lights for a prolonged period of time?

The one in Bedford, Ohio was even greasier. People, grease does not equal goodness.

We briefly used to have a Gioninos in South Carolina and loved it. We saw we were near one and had to stop. Everything was just as good as we remembered and the service was wonderful.

I order from this place multiple times a week. Call in for my lunch order and he hung up on me.

Food was good, but order came out a bit late. Friendly staff.

And it's really just a take out spot, so no atmosphere.

Food is never ready when they say it will be and then they rush to throw it all together and it looks and taste terrible. Last 2 times I was here it was almost 45 minute longer wait than when I was told food would be ready

Got a family meal deal. Large pizza, chicken, jojo potatoes, and coleslaw. I was impressed with all of it! That chicken was just WOW! Be back soon

I’ve been ordering from your location since u opened my go to pizza is Gioninios best this evening I was very disappointed. Bottom crust soaking wet with grease I even tried taking out from soaking wet pizza box soak up with paper towels no luck. I would of returned it but no time to drive back when tried calling it was 8: 00 notice u close at 8 left a text message

Gionino's Austintown you've done it again wish more stars as this Specialty Pizza is beyond delicious my one stop and only place for Pizza and delivered hot to your door

Gionino's never let's me down! Pepperoni Piccolo pizza crushed it! Had to stop myself from eating the entire pizza.

John and the crew are awesome! After my 1st time, I knew I'd be back. They deliver to my job which is so convenient! Now my son is a part of the teamCongratulations

I just love Austintown Gionino’s! I have been buying from them for over 10 years now! I have tried other locations! But, not 1 comes close to the customer service as this one has! I now live in Wellsville Ohio and when I want pizza! Yes, I drive 40 min to get it and 40 min home! They even wait about 30 min before starting it! So, it’s coming out of the oven when I get to them! They even cut it in squares for me. Back 5 years ago my mother had dementia and the pizza is similar to a pizza from our hometown pizza place in Cincinnati. So, she thought we moved back home some days. I would bring it home or that I went to cincy for a meeting other days. I will always love this location and keep up the good job guys and putting up with me and my special wants! ! ! LOL

We need a good pizza place down here! So, I’m requesting you to open one here! I took my pizza to the moose 122 last week and they all loved it!

Honestly cannot even deal with how delish everything was. Meatball sub was SUPERB the Italian chicken was life changing. Service was excellent, super clean environment. Will absolutely be returning!

I've Been on a search for a new pizza place since the downfall of Wedgewood. I Decided to try this place after someone I know and trust, in matters of food, told me how good it was. I ordered a pepperoni piccolo and a Margherita pizza. Both were fantastic, but the pepperoni was the best pepperoni pizza I may have ever had. The pepperoni was a little spicy, nothing like I've had before, the crust was perfect and they didn't skimp on the cheese. I advise you to try it at least once. They also have good wings I hear. I'll have to try them soon.
