Glass Pavilion reviews
13 Great place to see glass art! I enjoyed our trip here, I've always loved glass. I learned to blow glass in a studio, and I never get tired of seeing the hot shop! Someday hope to have a studio of my own, but until then, I must visit awesome places like this! Demonstration of blowing glass was well done by both the person explaining the process and the girl who was working the piece.
Thanks for the demonstration!
Much more interesting than expected! Beautiful art, well organized history, unique building.
Staff was very nice and helpful. Atmosphere was excellent for the event we attended. Fully recommended for others as well for their functions.
Would recommend a glass class. The end result may not be what you expect, but it's a good way to kill an hour, and the museum is right there.
This was such an amazing weekend for me. My artwork, a painting I did was spotlighted, along with only 19 other chosen women! I was on top of the world!
Amazing experience. So much to learn. Interesting presentation. Beautiful pieces of art on showcase. Definitely worth it.
Toledo is the home of the glass blowing movement, Glass City! The best presentation ever. 5 star facility. Wow
The glass was so beautiful I loved the exhibits they were showing glass blowing to beautiful place
I feel like the art pieces on exhibit are a bit odd. I'm not sure how often, if ever, they're swapped out. I did enjoy looking around, but overall there could be better pieces on display.
Very cool musuem. It's free! Makes for a nice afternoon checking out some neat glass exhibits.
It was alright. I grew up in the Toledo metro area, attended college there as well. I finally got my chance to come to the glass pavilion when I helped chaperone a school trip there.
These are my thoughts. The space is definitely unique. When it boils down to it, the most interesting part was watching the artisans make glass. The rest of the exhibit was essentially forgettable. There was a big giant weird chandelier when you walk in, and a store that was closed directly to your right.
Most of the glass walls look kinda cloudy and dirty. As if humidity and overall grime has done their thing. There is also a room full of glass trinkets that could best be described as, "All the grandparents of the world got together and assembled the largest collection of glass trinkets for a garage sale. "
For Toledo being the glass city, it was a bit of a letdown. It's a nice addition, but keep your expectations where they should be. Of course, if you just put on those "rose colored glasses, " you'll be fine.
What a wonderful museum! Glass art and household items from BC and 1000 years old from different parts of the world. It's quite amazing to see these artifacts still here after centuries. Not to be missed in Teledo.
Stunning architecture and collection. Live glass demos. Very cool and a great place to spend an afternoon.
