Glendale Garden Cafe reviews
19I highly recommend Glendale Garden Cafe, their food is outstanding, and so is their staff. The value for your money is very much worth a visit, so if you leave hungry, it's definitely not their fault. I've not had a bad meal from this establishment.
Wow! This place check marks all the boxes!
- The prices were reasonable
-the place was clean
- the service was friendly and fast
- the food tasted great and served in big portions
The only reason That I did not give 5 stars Was because I would have liked it to have just a little more seasoning. However that very well be just my palate. After a slight - of salt and it was perfect.
After quite a few years in a prior location they moved just down the street. Bigger new Resturants same delicious food.its Not possible to go there and not find something good to eat (HUGH MENU) GET THERE IN TIME TO CHECK OUT THERE DESSERTS.
This place is popular with the older folks for a reason. The food is pretty good, but no seasoning at all so it's bland until you season it to taste yourself.
Not is friendly as the old Glendale gardens. And not as friendly as the Reynolds gardens. Food was mediocre. Not a bad place to eat but not a great place to eat either. We went there because Reynolds garden is getting remodeling done. They haven't reopened yet. Running late for some reason.
California eggs Benedict was a fresh twist, but the English muffin wasn't toasted. It was cold. The hash browns were not browned, so they tasted uncooked.
The food was very good, lots of it for the price. The service was excellent. The only thing that bothered me was the following. There were 3 of us who use to work together. Its been six months since we got together. We got there at 1030 and we're catching up. Then at about noon we were politely asked to leave to free a table for the lunch crowd. I understand that, but it still bothered me. We are all in our 60's and 70's, and are civilized human beings.
The breakfast was very good. The coffee was excellent. The only thing missing was cinnamon toast. The waitress was excellent.
Food portions are amazing however this last trip I purchased a grilled chicken salad I asked for for ranch dressings they appeared to be pretty clumpy but they had no taste I had to use dressing that I had left over from Wendy’s to spice it up
I haven't been to Glendale Garden since they moved from the corner of Detroit. The food was great. The server was excellent. The prices weren't over the top. I'll be back.
This is one of our local favorites especially for breakfast it's a family owned place they are super sweet except the guy or dad he can be a little curt sometimes but just take it with a grain of salt the food is worth it and the rest of the staff makes up for it on his grumpy days as they are always outstanding definitely somewhere you wanna try!
This place is a joke. We walked in and it was a ghost town, we were immediately greeted and seated.where we sat and waited for over 20 minutes with no acknowledgment. The menu looked delicious but after 20 minutes with no drink, no hello, nothing.we decided to leave. I will say Hong Kong buffet is great! We literally walked right in and got a plate. Was our first time there as well.
I would highly recommend this restaurant, they're open for breakfast and lunch, food was great reasonably priced with good service, very pleasant experience.
I got an omelette here and found out that they barely put any salt or pepper in it, so it was bland.
Their cappuccino had whipped cream in it, I've never seen a cappuccino with whipped cream cause this one was disgusting.
I can highly recommend the spinach omelet, the Greek omelet and the Mexican omelet. All were substantial (you will likely have ample leftovers). Serving staff were attentive and friendly.
I've always liked Glendale Garden but the food was better before they moved to their current location. I've always liked the liver and onions. I used to think they had the best Ranch dressing.
Got home eating the rest of my omelette and noticed I had a mouth full of egg SHELLS. I'll never eat there again and I've ate there before don't know why My food was this way this time.
Two of us in my group. We both had Chicken Paprikash. The thick noodles were very tasty with thick gravy. Came with baked chicken (half of a chicken). The side salad was a generous portion. I had leftovers to take home for another meal. The other person ate all his there was he was "stuffed"!
Very warm and welcoming staff food was good and a good price.
I'm not in Ohio often but, if I am I'll be sure to stop here.
