Golden Mountain Restaurant, Willoughby Hills OH

This place use to have the best food ever. Today I ordered egg rolls and wonton with shrimp chips. It was by far the nastiest food I’ve gotten from a Chinese restaurant. The shrimp chips were so greasy. The eggrolls didn’t taste good at all, and you could tell the wonton soup was frozen. So disappointing! Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anybody that likes Chinese food because this was by far the worst!

This place was fabulous. I had never heard of them or been here. It was a Monday and my usual China House was not open. I was having a craving for Chinese. I Googled Chinese food and they popped up. To be honest they are better than my usual spot. Customer service was great. A little more expensive but the food was worth it. Definitely will be returning.

I had not been here for a few years because the quality of the food had deteriated. However today my husband and I felt like Chinese food and I wanted to order takeout from someplace close to home. I read recent reviews that were good and said the restaurant was under new management so we gave it a try. We are glad we tried it. Food was nice and hot, fresh and tasted great. We'll be back ️

The building smelled. Bathrooms were super filthy. Rags hanging under the sink tied to the ptrap.
Only 2 people working. Those 2 people.wete working very hard and the food was hot. No flavor. Wont be back.

The thing about this place is the staff, and secondly, the vegetables. Every piece of meat you get seems to be accompanied by a supremely cooked vegetable. It’s high-effort Cantonese Ohio food at a price point competitive with anyone around. Staff are always super nice and really make it worth the trip. I’m rooting for you, Golden Mountain. Thanks for providing me with my lo mein injections when I need them.

New owners are making great changes! The food is great and and the ingredients
are fresh, the owners are friendly and prices are very reasonable! We’ll be back soon.

Front of house staff was polite and fast. That's about the only positive thing I have to say. With the exception of the egg roll I think all of my food was reheated. The rice was overcooked. Ribs were tough and very little meat to speak of. About 3 quarters of the 'dinner for 2 special' ended up in the trash. Will not be returning.

Friendly staff but The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life me and my family threw ours away WASTE OF MONEY

It was horrible. The drinks were the worst we have ever had the food was as bad. My husband got sick after eating. I only had chicken strips and a egg roll.there was only a lady an a child that was only maybe 5 yrs old serving our food and drinks.

This place is a diamond in the rough! The menu might not have some of dishes like General Tso, but what they do have is amazing!

The counter area near the dining area has faint mildew smell - that should have been a tip off not to pick up the order. I had placed a take out order for shrimp and broccoli and four happiness and was told 15-20 minutes. I arrived 25 minutes later. As soon as I arrived she asked me to pay. Since there were no orders at the counter, I told her that I'd pay when the food was at the counter. She went to the back, I assume to pickup the order but didn't come back for about 7 minutes. When I looked though a window in the kitchen, she was preparing the food - should have left then. When she came out hastily with the order and I checked the contents of one I noticed the Shrimp and broccoli was actually shrimp with various vegables (25% broccoli). I told her that I thought it was the wrong order - she told me "that's how we make it. " She said don't take it if you don't want it how we.make it - I should have listened to her and left the food there. The vegetables were mushy and the sauce so salty that it was inedible. I threw it away. Don't order from this place.

The food was great, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was very professional! Definitely will be going back!

Take out order. The veggies were under cooked and tough, especially the onions in the pepper steak meal. They were like chewing on cardboard. The steak was over cooked and was chewy. We also ordered spare ribs and they were also tough and chewy. We asked for vegetable fried rice instead of pork fried rice and were charged the full price of the rice as a side order (x2).
Altogether the meal cost about $35 and was almost inedible. Very disappointing!

The lo mein is really good and packed with veggies. The crab ragoons are my favorite and the owner is really friendly and sweet.
