Goodale Park reviews
30Don't partake in the random beverages scattered about. You're never so parched you need roofief.
Loved this growing up in the 70's. I can remember there being a big shallow area on the Buttles Ave side, where all the kids rode sleds. It is kind of leveled out now. Many different dogs walked, picnics, watching fireworks downtown; before Red White and Boom; and the little festivals along Park St to feeding the ducks in the pond. The tornados in the early 80’s that blew down several trees. To the late 80’s running the perimeter of the park, several times, preparing to leave for Boot Camp.
One of my favorite parks, a nice escape from the surrounding city while still being close to so many places to eat and shop.
I went to ComFest and had a wonderful time. There are people on go-karts going around emptying the trash containers I didn't see any litter on the ground at all! Wonderful job to all of those that volunteer. This was the first time I ever went there I will come back again next year. Lots to see, Lots of vendors and lots of great entertainment.
Good place to bring the family for a picnic or bring your dog to run and play a lot of room to play with a frisbee throw a football
For the Community Festival, I was able to volunteer for 2 shifts. This allowed me to really see Goodale Park for all that it is. Even the bunkhouse is pristine. With the duck pond and the various sports facilities, this park is right up there with the best.
Goodale Park is one of the most beautiful parks in central Ohio, gorgeous flowers and the greenest grass, nice jungle gym for kids, shelter house and tennis court. Lots of space to build more attractions
We went at 5: 00 in the morning and it was great but I just feel like there's a lack of activities to do
Great little green space in the Short North/Arena district part of town. I've been here just to walk around and enjoy the fountain, but I've also seen it full of people during Comfest. It's nice to have spots like this, and Columbus is rich with them!
It's very nice park. Goodale also serves as a dog park so I would not recommend taking young children to the park as most of the dogs are not leashed despite the signs.
Beautiful park with a tennis court and one beautiful pond. Its also right next to the Park St area which consists of music bars and restaurants. There is also a liquor close by, if you need to purchase some alcoholic beverages.
A very beautiful park with a lot of history for Columbus. All sorts of events and cool people be met here.
Great park & close to home. They recently renovated the kids play area too, but there are still many nicer play areas. I wish they would've upgraded it a little more.
Awesome park in The Short North - bearer the festivals and jazz concerts and the Pizzutti Gallery across the street, very much a center of activity in Columbus!
Need to have a clean park it is so gross it fill with pet owners and there dogs, kids need there space too!
I walk passed goodale park every day to go to work and it's a great place to walk and enjoy the day
One of the nicest city parks I’ve been in. Playgrounds, tennis courts, monuments, dog friendly, and scenic. It’s hard to expect more than that inside a city!
Comfest. I Go Most Summers Weather Permitting. The Bourbon Chicken And The Jazz Music was Great
We love this park. It is well maintained and great for our dog. Love that it's very close to downtown restaurants, bars and shops.
