Goodfellas Pizzeria - Pleasant Ridge reviews
16A great new York style pizza dinner. Super friendly staff. Bathroom was super clean, and I noticed. We will return.
Went for the first time over the weekend and am still thinking about how great the pizza was. We did half pepperoni for the kids, and the Goodfella for ourselves - the whole family enjoyed in. The staff were friendly and the environment was spot on. Definitely will be back!
Nice place to get a whole pie to feed a bunch out to grab a single slice and go. It’s nice to have a place where families can eat and then if you want to get a drink and be a bit more relaxed you can head upstairs to the bar. The outside patio is a plus!
Love Goodfellas pizza. Biggest pie I've ever seen! Just as good as the one in OTR. Definitely recommend! And the breadsticks are crazy good.pretty sure they are 18 in.long!
Although the pizza here is amazing, I have to write about the bizarre experience my family had here the other night. We seated ourselves outside on the 2nd floor and after we had been sitting for a couple of minutes the woman at the only other table on the patio told us there there was a baby bird under our table.
We looked and sure enough, a baby bird was wobbling around and we could hear mom nearby. We decided to switch tables in the hopes the mom would come and assist the baby.
We moved and a minute or two later the mom did appear next to the baby and was guiding it and chirping around it.
The bartender came out soon after this to clear some plates and move chairs, my daughter warned him about the baby bird and he just grunted and went on about his work. He went back inside but reappeared a moment later with a towel in his hand and he scooped up the baby bird, my daughter said no, no, it's still alive at which he again grunted and then proceeded to ignore us and go back inside with the bird.
Our table of four and the other table of two outside sat there with our mouths hanging open. It was the weirdest thing. Not one word was ever uttered by the bartender during the whole encounter.
When my husband checked out, he told the bartender why he wasn't getting a tip, his lack of communication, his attitude, and the whole handling of the bird situation to which the bartender replied, "Well, it wasn't your bird".
No, it wasn't our bird, we don't own a bird and we sure wouldn't bring one to restaurants if we had one, but that wasn't the point now, was it?
Then the bartender told my husband he didn't care one way or another if he got a tip, he had been working for 8 straight days.
We get it, guy, you are too tired/sick of work, customers, baby birds, whatever. Then quit. Stop making people's visits to the restaurant so weird and disturbing.
In any case, the pizza was great but the atmosphere and the odd bartender with yellow glasses were not. Maybe we will go to another location going forward.
I went here for my son birthday last year the atmosphere was wonderfu and staff were wonderful but the pizza was dry with no sauces and tasteless. Prices for four Xl pizzas was ridiculous for what it taste like.
Good quality handmade pizza is waiting here for you.
So many pizza places have given up the art of pizza making to just use assembly line food. I was pleasantly surprised to watch the pies being made skillfully.
The pizza is certainly worth having time after time, and I will support this place.
"Mom, this is a REALLY clean Goodfellas", declared by my 12 year old daughter.
We ordered pizza to go and it was delicious and timely.
The interior was spacious, inviting & clean.
The staff were friendly & helpful
The atmosphere upstairs is second to none. Highly recommend for dinner and drinks and/or watching sports with some friends. The patio outside is incredible too. Staff was exceptionally nice to my wife and I and we REALLY enjoyed ourselves. Oh and the pizza was good too:)
Love the neighborhood! Great branding! The food was very good, though the crust could have used a little salt. This is as close to New York Style pizza as you can get in the region. Have visited and eaten at 2 of the three current locations and can't wait to try the third. Did I mention we drive 35 miles or more to eat here?
The pizza is good! Drinks are fantastic and upstairs patio is awesome! We enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon!
We always love coming here for the lunch special! The crew here is amazing and always super welcoming to the point they’ve always got a specialty pizza that we’re looking for during the lunch special! Now we come here just to hang out half the time and use it as our weekly meetup with our friends with the benefit of solid pizza on the side!
Great pizza. Take your food with you and check out upstairs Wise Guy Lounge for an eclectic bar experience.
Light snack Sunday night. Cheese bread, meatballs, couple cookies and salad (healthy option). Good food, not only pizza. Service was quick and polite.
All good. Better if they would heat your pizza a touch longer. Ask them to cook it longer to crisp the crust.
This place has pretty cool atmosphere. I like to go there on Sunday nights, or a random Tuesday here and there when work allows.
I've had Mo (Fire-ant) as a bartender multiple times, and I came here to write this review for her.
She's damn good at what she does. She doesn't disappear from the bar. She is prompt with getting customers refills, and upcharging/suggesting other drinks, but not aggressively, just.naturally.
Yeah, Mo is cool. There should be more bartenders like Mo. It makes Goodfellas feel like home.
