A 9.2 acre park on the Great Miami River with a most interesting Ohio Historical Marker. John Randolph of Virginia freed 483 slaves upon his death. Some came to Piqua and with no assets built churches, a school, had farms, businesses, etc. One was a successful businessman, Civil War Veteran, etc.named Goodrich Giles. Hence the Park was named for Goodrich Giles and in memory of the Randolph Free men, women and children who settled and made Piqua OH their home.
