Goodwill, Johnstown OH

Every one of these Licking/Knox Goodwill's is the same anymore and this one is no exception. Shelves cluttered with Amazon returns with no mention of the fact that the items are returns and likely have wear/defects or parts missing. Buyer beware, I guess. And the prices are insane on most true used thrift store items. For example they have a random cargo cover for a vehicle in here marked at 19.98. It's stained, used and no indications of even what vehicle it's for.

I left the store feeling bad about myself due to the store associates, one told me I should be a witch for Halloween due to my hat and I guess overall "vibe" which I took as endearing the first time but she said it multiple times throughout my shopping trip and it left me feeling uncomfortable. One of the other store associates Chey had told me at check out she was giving my friend a discount for all her blue tagged items as well as her green tags, which blue was not supposed to be discounted till the next day (today), I thought she was joking because she had literally been bombarding me and my friend with nonsense the entirety of our shopping experience and it was hard for me to connect the dots on what she was saying. But she indeed gave my friend a discount and not me. The store it's self is very organized however has a bit of a urine smell. Won't be back.) :

I love this store! It’s so clean and well taken care of! But recently I noticed the prices are insanely high! Example: trinket boxes $19.00! And smalls brik a brack $7.99 and up.one after the other. Way too expensive. Sadly I can’t afford these prices.

The employees are very nice and if you come in on the right day you can find some good deals! The only reason I’m giving a one star is because I have heard the big boss SCREAMING at these poor workers for little mistakes MULTIPLE TIMES. He obviously doesn’t care if customers can overhear him either and it’s very concerning and uncomfortable. Some of these employee seem to have an intellectual disability and it’s just so hard to hear him yelling at them when they are just doing their best. Overall, nice goodwill. Just concerning to hear the boss yelling at employees almost everytime I go there.
