Goodwill Industries reviews
21Reading these mask reviews about HIPAA rights being violated and an 18 month old made to wear one is ridiculous on the part of this store. Just today we were told HOW we must wear a mask, what else are they going to demand to enter into their business?
Shelves were stocked. Prices were clearly marked. Social distancing was practiced. Masks were worn by everyone.
As always, the prices are outrageous. This was also a very small Goodwill with small collections, I was surprised, being located in a wealthy town like Wadsworth. But most importantly, the staff were rude. I felt very unwelcome. I'll never shop there again.
Employee required I show proof of medical condition preventing me from wearing a mask, which is violation of my rights under HIPAA. As i went to walk out, she continued to get louder and louder informing me of hours I could come without a mask. By the time i was out the door, she could have been heard throughout the store. Rather embarrassing, to be called out for something out of your control.
Tried to go shopping with my 18 month daughter. I had face mask on, but was told my daughter had to wear a mask or we could not shop. She is 18 months old, thus we left.
Went in there yesterday and found something that was a perfect Christmas gift for loved one. Took it up to the counter and they said they couldn’t sell it to me until tomorrow because it didn’t have a price. Came in the next day and they said they sold it to someone yesterday, just a little while after I had left. Very disappointed. Couldn’t have just found someone to put a price on it for me? Not coming back. Super unfair.
Had my two year old son he found a horse he loved it cashier says o I'm sry can't sell it because it has no price my sin was devistated really will never go back there
They treat you bad, long lines with no one at the cash register, donating is having to deal with people who treat you rudely. Overpriced with less stuff then they used to. Guess treating people bad is bad for business. Who knew.
Had cart full of stuff! One cashier and 10 12 people in line. Waited 20 min then just left without anything. Shopped for an hour. Hire more than 1 clerk your prices are high enough.
Too much money for other people stuff they were going to throw away, I don't think I will be going there much anymore!
Was at multiple locations today, Ran across many good bargains in all stores, Wadsworth was my favorite location.
Have donated twice this year to this location in Wadsworth. The first time a man stormed out to help my husband drop off the bags we had. We had about 12 big bags this time. I have donated way more than that before without issue. This man cursed, muttered under his breath and complained the entire time to himself how he should not have to do this job. My husband just ignored him and got everything out of our vehicle. I had 4 or 5 bags to take today as well as a few household items to donate and was going to be on this side of town. I pull up and sit for a few minutes before someone even bothers to open the door. A woman finally comes out and was so incredibly rude the entire time she grabbed these items. They have a cart now that they can move up to your van so things don't have to be hauled all the way in. She was very short, not polite and was upset that the majority I had was clothing. Since I've had these 2 bad experiences within 2 months of this year I will be finding alternate places to donate any more items we come across. Your loss as we are getting ready to clean out our basement with probably 100 bags worth of children's/adults clothing, furniture and other household items. At this point I would rather throw the stuff away than take something to give away free to a place that can't even be decent enough to be nice to you for the few minutes you're there.
Went to donate various items to this Wadsworth Goodwill. I normally donate at the Medina Goodwill and always had great service. I wish I would have went there today but the Wadsworth Goodwill was closer. What an adventure that I'll never forget. Now keep in mind that I drop off numerous items throughout the year. It was after 8: 30 am and i know that it opens up at 9: 00 am. So I pull around to the back to see if anyone was there. I saw a few cars so I pull up and drove over the activation cable so the BELL would ring. I get out of the car and take a few items up to the door with me. As I get closer I can hear employees talking behind the door. So I put my items down by the door and went back to the car to get more items. At this time a lady came to drop off some items. She asked if it was open yet. I said I'm not sure but I hear employees by the back door. As we go up to the door a man comes out looking and sounding VERY irritated. He states that they don't open until 9: 00 am and that leaving items by the door is considered dumping. The lady stated she was just donating some books and would he take them. He said he would this time but not again if it's before 9: 00 am because it's considered dumping of items. Like we didn't hear him the first time. So he goes back into the building and the lady that was visibly shaken gets in her car and leaves. I decided to take back the items that i was going to donate because it was extremely clear he didn't want my donations. I'm absolutely stunned of the behavior of a person that wouldn't even have employment if it wasn't for people like me making donations. So I went to the Salvation Army and donated my items. I arrived before they had opened also. But guess what? A guy came out that was courteous, helpful and thankful for the donations. I was so impressed that I told him I will bring all my donations to them from now on. By the way I was donating a minimum of 5,000 a year in items. After the way I was treated by a GOODWILL EMPLOYEE I will NEVER give them another PENNY! UPDATE: Found out the GOODWILL EMPLOYEE IS actually the STORE MANAGER! UNBELIEVABLE!
There was a nice lady there, but there was a very inconsiderate worker there I'm not sure what his name was.
A USED PAIR OF SHOES 5 DOLLARS NOW? DO THEY REALIZE THAT THEY GOT THEM FOR FREE. WHY OVERPRICE DONATED GOODS
Almost always find something, not set up confusingly. Sections are sectioned off by sizes accurately and accordingly. Never dissapointed and I've been going for 6 years.
The store was clean. Has restrooms and changing rooms. There is a parking lot near the store and a handicap ramp on the sidewalk. Most items are neatly displayed. Prices are displayed by store signs. Color of the week (plastic tabs on garments) is 50%off. Join the club (free) and you receive a %off coupon each month. Just show your card and tell the clerk you want to use this coupon and it goes thru the register. For each $100 spent (totaled from repeat visits, show your card @ time) you receive a $ discount coupon on register receipt. Good at all Akron area Goodwills.
The prices at this location for non clothing items are not consistent and don't seem to have rhyme or reason
Found a ton of stuff. 6 tops and 2 pairs of pants for $25. All in excellent condition.
Store was very neat and organized. Loved it
Yesterday the short-haired blonde female clerk with initials LHA lost her freaking cool! She followed me to my car spitting as she spoke screaming unintelligibley at me. Thank God I had a friend with me! This woman came unglued and I was just waiting for her to hit me. I slowly walked yo my car giving her time to collect herself. Didn't happen. I'll be contacting corporate today. This woman could be dangerous
