Governours Square reviews
7I love my place it’s quiet and the neighborhood is overall a safe place. I would recommend if you are looking for something nice and for a good price.
Impossible to get in contact with the rental office unless you go in person. All calls are forwarded to a call center who never relays message to office. Currently have 4 calls that were never returned within one month, one hasnt been returned in over 2 weeks after going into the office in person about my lease. Also took 5 days to get my bathroom faucet fixed. Very unprofessional and hands off approach for an apartment complex.
My husband and I have had a great experience here. We lived here for two years, and it’s been really comfortable. For the price, this complex is excellent. There are the basic cons to living in an apartment setting that you would get anywhere, but it’s all around great. New gym, fun pool, walkable area, quick maintenance, extremely kind office staff, easy parking, etc. The apartments are quality and easy to live in. The office staff are 5 stars on their own. They really worked with us while we have lived here and we have so appreciated them. Of all of the places we have lived in Columbus, this is the best for the $$. Highly recommend!
Beware when moving in, they use toxic oven cleaners. For weeks after I moved in I could smell it and had respiratory issues and allergic reactions. Whatever they use to clean fridges and ovens should be illegal.
The Apartment is poorly insulated and gets cold at night. Doesn't matter if it's summer you feel like you need to run the heat at night. Not really worth the price.
My roommate and I have lived here for 2 years and we've had a great experience. It was a little bit rough at the beginning of 2021 with contractor issues and delays in amenity updates, but I think the office has gotten it together well and always responds to my emails quickly, specifically Kelsi. Maintenance is quick and helpful. Compared to a lot of places, Gov.square has a ton of amenities without the overwhelming fees. The front pool is always well kept. The new gym, dog park and office updates are beautiful. You can't beat the location & the price point. We'll miss our little townhome & patio!
The entire management company here is terrible. Don’t depend on anyone who answers phones to relay any messages to the property manager because they won’t. Don't even worry about contacting the "property manager". Mike is as useless as they come. Everyone here deflects and blames everyone else. They tried to tell me, an engineer who has worked in pipelining all my life that it takes 3 months to locate a water leak. Then another person told me they weren't able to find a contractor to do the fix. LIES LIES LIES. Don’t make a maintenance call bc they won’t show up to fix anything. I have never met a more useless property management company in my life. I have had to deal with a water service line leak that leaves my front porch wet for almost three months. No one seems to care. When it gets cold the water turns to ice and my son and daughter have both slipped. This is a safety concern that no one seems to care about. One word describes my living experience here - TRASH. And by the way, all of the “five” star reviews are from people who do not live here. Do not move here because I promise you’ll regret it.
Just to update everyone! I slipped on the ice patch outside my front door a few months ago and completely tore my Achilles. For months I told them of the safety concern outside my front door but they never cared to come fix it. I am consulting a lawyer. My surgery alone cost 13k and I haven’t been to work in 6 weeks!
