Grandpa's Cheesebarn, Ashland OH

Wow! First time visiting, not a disappointment at all. Lower level is old fashioned general store type atmosphere - lots of candies and confections, pickles and relishes, jellies and jams. Upstairs is where the real fun is! Never have seen so many different cheeses! Highly suggest Swiss On Rye and Smoked Gouda; many, many other varieties to choose from including some that'll make you go "Hmmm, think we'll try that one". Walked out with around $40 worth of cheese and a few other tasty items. We didn't venture over to the other buildings; too busy, even for Covid. Plan on returning though in the very near future!

It was a haven of cheese, meats and sweets.
Like Young's Dairy, Bob Evans and Ester Price mashed into one. Definitely a stop to make on your way to or from Cleveland.

The pecan fudge and homemade peanut butter cups were awesome! The whole establishment smelled good.

Love this place! It was better before Covid because they had lots of samples out, but now you can ask for a sample of anything in the store! They have every kind of cheese you can imagine (and lots you couldn't imagine), a deli, sauces, jellies, syrups, honey, beef sticks, snack mixes, baking mixes, postcards, birthday cards, cute signs, coffee mugs, candles, AND a whole store filled with chocolates and homemade fudge, which also carries some vintage style candies. This is an awesome place to find a gift for any age. I came today and got my grandma a variety of things for her birthday; candies, cinnamon honey butter, relish spread, maple bacon cheddar cheese, FROG jelly, bacon cheddar cheese spread, cheese squares with summer sausage, and crackers, some different things she's not used to getting when she orders groceries online.

Clean, nice people, loads of stuff, lots of different favors of chessboard meats. We like visiting there.

Finally stopped in on my drive from Columbus to Cleveland, so many choices of cheese and meats that are all excellent. Had the chicken salad sandwich for lunch and it was delicious!

We always love stopping here. Everything is so tasty. You can sample many different dips and cheeses. The prices are very reasonable. Then we hit Sweeties accross the parking lot for some freshly made candy. Yummy.

Our first visit to the area. Really nice store. Friendly staff is always appreciated. If you can get a chance to stop by please do you won't be disappointed.

Brought a newbie to the Barn this time. She loved it. Always fun to browse, sample, and buy yummy stuff at the Cheesebarn and Sweeties!

Love all of the options for meats and cheeses. It's nice to sample before you buy. The BLT downstairs is awesome! Make sure to plan ahead so you have plenty of time to look around and make sure to visit next door for sweets!

The sales representative was extremely educated and so was the sales customer service extremely educated and they went out of the way to answer questions that you had. Nice friendly clean very clean atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Grandpa's cheese Barn

Very nice place to stop and get some cheese and other nice little snacks. We will stop everytime we get back up this way. They also have the candy shop right next door that is a great place to shop as well. The prices are a little high, but you do get what you pay for. There are plenty of samples. I will be back.

Go every time I drive to columbus.so many new things every time I go.love the spreads and dips.large variety of cheeses and meats also.

I LOVE coming here and getting cheeses and chocolates and goodies galore! Thanks for being next to fin feather fur so i have something to look forward to when im drug up there!

Don't waste your time stopping. A very expensive roadside tourist attraction. Cheese sample are available but the cheese is sold in 2 ounce packages at a high price.

Awesome building filled with goodies for everyone! Any kind of candy you could imagine for the sweet tooth, savory cheeses and sausages for those who have more of a savory appetite. And every kind of condiment you could imagine. Lots of old school candies took me back to when I was a kid.and that's a long time ago. Free samples. YUM! Friendly staff. I can't wait to return with my grandkids. Be ready to spend some money, cuz this place will bring out the "fat kid" in anyone!

Expensive, but neat little place to get meats cheeses, sauce mixes, chocolates, and few unexpected gifts

Very friendly people. Was very nice to see they had all kinds of samples to try, which helped choose a new cheese to enjoy. Great selection of choices. Place was clean and neatly organized.
