Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ reviews
17Have gone here multiple times and so far have not had a bad experience. I like the meat options and the fact that they season and dress the meat. I thought that was standard practice until I went to a different barbeque and the meat there was just plain, undressed, and therefore flavorless. The meat here has really good sauce
In all 57 years of my life, this was the BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD! The meats MELT LIKE butter in your mouth. Someone with NO TEETH could eat this! I am DEFINITELY coming back. You will NOT be disappointed!
It was a fun experience for my birthday. My husband order filet and it was very chewy, my brother's sirloin was chewy. My ribeye was fatty but tasted good. The chicken, pork and shrimp were very tasty. The thing that was odd we were given plastic utensils in addition to our chopsticks! It was our first visit, I'd go again.
Went here for my birthday dinner the service was very bad. The whole time we were rushed through everything. They’re open til 9: 30 but apparently the kitchen closes at 9, we weren’t told this when we sat down at 8 for a “90 minute all you can eat course”.
When you come to a restaurant and are spending good money I expect to feel welcomed and taken care of. The server rushed everything doing the bare minimum, who brings out ice cream that’s going to melt before you’re even finished cooking the meat. This is all 30 minutes before they even close.
Then she had the nerve to passively aggressively say oh we can charge you for the food you didn’t finish. Keep in mind this is an appetizer they forgot and didn’t bring out til halfway through our meal, and we eat half of it.
Love this chain is exactly like the one in Japan. It tastes the same. We order the all you can eat menu on the weekdays. It gives you 90 minutes to order all to you want on a specific menu. There is the Premium menu which is $48 per person. The 2nd tier is $58, then the top tier is $68. Each level includes a few more selections than the last. If one person at the table orders the all you can eat, everyone at the table must do the same.otherwise you can just order like any other restaurant per item. I recommend using their app to earn points if you eat here regularly.
Always a favorite for special occasions. Able to take your time eating and talking. Good for a date night or a group of friends. Prices are very reasonable as well.
We had the ultimate all you can eat, food taste good as always. The garlic fried rice is good. The beef tone has a very unique taste, in a good way, meat is fresh. The dessert option (mochi) in the ultimate option is nothing special. The senior discount is very reasonable. Only thing is we have 10 people and are separated to two adjacent table. When we order each meat we had it double, but instead of bringing two plates with same thing to two table, the double order were combined in one plate. As a result each table end up with one type of meat double amount, instead of able to try two meat. Maybe this can be improved
Good vegetables and sauces with a nice selection of meat and chicken to cook on your own grill at the table
Food was so good. Server was extremely helpful and nice. Awesome experience. Was fun cooking the meat at the table myself.
We all enjoy dining here. The food is excellent, as is the service. They are very accommodating with groups that go beyond one burner. I would recommend a dish.but who can remember the names. It's ALL good.
Great Japanese steakhouse, just like in Japan. This restaurant chain is also in Japan, so we've been coming here since we moved back to the states.
This was my third time going and up until now I've had great service but I was completely disappointed with tonight's service. We ordered the 3 person meat lover meal and everything was great until halfway through until something happened to our grill. We were halfway through cooking our meat and the server made us pull our ribs off which meant the meat was then unsafe to eat while he spent 20 minutes messing with it. Did not solve the problem. At that point we were ready to leave but would not let us take the meat home we had to sit and cook it. At that point we were all over so we left with half the meal gone to waste and they didn't even so much as attempt to comp any part of the meal. Didn't offer us the dessert we paid for. Biggest waste of $200
Celebrated my granddaughter 14 bday with family and friends and truly loved the place. I’ll be back!
We loved having our bday party here. It felt like an authentic place to eat at from a K-drama
The all you can eat ultimate selections were of great quality. A negative part of the experience is the service. The waitress was rude and sounded annoyed the whole time. At the end, she commented as we paid and asked if we only tipped 10% when we clearly did much more than that. Honestly, the food was good, but the poor service ruined the experience.
We’ve eaten at 12 different Gyu Kaku’s across the US & the consistency in taste is the exact same at every location. Service has always been stellar at every location & now we can add Cincinnati to that list. Thanks guys
I've been a couple of times with bad service. The food is still good. I would recommend getting take out
