Habanero on Ludlow reviews
16I ordered a to-go honey and sriracha quesadilla. It was really good however I would like them to package it better. It was a bit soggy when I got home to eat it. I like a crunchy quesadilla
Was a really interesting experience, like the place, even apply to be employed by then, let's hope works out
Clean, solid service and reasonably priced. The food was universally unseasoned and bland. Served inedible guacamole (clearly made with spoiled avocados) and salsa was tepid and lifeless. A general lack of "freshness" was the theme of our meals. Maybe an off night for the crew. But based on my experience tonight in July 2023 it's hard to recommend.
I asked for a veggie quesadilla with tofu. I am a vegetarian and my quesadilla was smelling like fish. Also, there was no tofu in it. They used to make better quesadillas but this time it was the worst one I have ever had.
Used to go here often before they remodeled it. With the remodel came +$2-4 on every menu item, loud music leaking in from the taproom, and an overabundance of cars in the parking lot because of the taproom. Habanero staff also had no clue about the taproom events and said they only ever find out the day of, even though there's a very visible M-S calendar on the wall right beside the taproom entrance in Habanero.
The food tasted alright, but the place really lost its edge and flavor. No longer do you get the experience of saying the toppings around the counter as your food is prepared and pay at the end. Instead, you tell them everything up front, pay up front, and then they screw you over on portions. Ordered with guac and queso, both over $2 each. The bowl itself is $14. They put a measly bit of guac in the corner of the taco bowl and didn't even add queso, just only shredded cheese and sour cream. There was also barely any lettuce - found five leaves, that's it. It was more rice, meat, and shredded cheese than anything else. If you're going to make people pay over $20 for a single meal, at least make the portion sizes worthwhile and honor the requested toppings. I'll stick to Bubbakoo's, Chipotle, or Qdoba where less is more.
Clean and very nicely furnished, it's like Chipotle for foodies with fresh ingredients and house made salsas. Dine in included free chips (house made from flour rather than corn tortillas). I had a burrito with the flash fried tofu (excellent). Their hot sauce is slightly sweet and has great flavor, spicy but not overwhelming.
Abhorred. Anyone giving this more then one stars is lying. Some of the worst "food" I've had in the last year. COVID should have shut this place down for good.
The food is always fresh, portions are always hearty, and people are always amiable at Habanero.
Pricing is surprisingly slightly lower than Chipotle, while offering better tasing food, more flavor, and more variety. PLUS most options also come with signature wheat tortilla pita chips and salsa included!
Their menu is customizable for many lifestyles and palates, and the team is always genuinely kind, quick, and downright amiable. I always leave Habanero with a smile, even when I'm stopping by to grab carryout dinner while feeling super tired from work. One of the store leaders, Todd, is the sweetest dude. Lots of interesting artists and musicians tend to work there. Just an A+ part of Cincinnati's restaurant scene.
Changed alot in 20yrs. More corporate now rather than independent. Didn't like chicken marinade when used to fresh grilled. Not bad at all just different. Not your standard Mexican restaurant chips and salsa. They are still the best!
Ordering was slow but the food came quick thereafter. Had the steak custom burrito. It was solid.
Pretty good stuff here, I got the OG Burrito, chips which are flour tortilla, very nice, queso and guac was good too
I have no idea what has been going on but their hours of operation has been all over the place these days. Showed up before close time and they told me because it's a holiday weekend mind you today is Friday the holiday it's Monday. The guy in the store stated they closed an hour early because of this reason. People like me drive quite a distance and are looking forward to eating at this restaurant and this has been such a let down.
I'm not a fan of the food quality at habanero. It just isn't that tasty. The staff is great and very friendly.
I was expecting more for some reason. I shouldn't have, but it is comparable to all the others.
Wonderful experience.the wait wasn't long, the food was presented very nicely, and was delicious.my first time there and I will be going back again
This older guy with white hair and glasses put way too many pinto beans on my 4 tacos. I miss 2017 habanero. But I love the new look. Just they don’t make the food how they use to. I Actually like the food here I just don’t like how they let some people make the tacos
