Half Price Books reviews
19Very bad service, an accident happened to me, the food was thrown on the floor and they got angry and did not give us the correct attention
Low prices for slightly used books. Always a great place to visit. We usually spend about an hour or so here every time we visit! They also have tons and tons of music.
Rip off offer you barely anything for stuff you bring in. Doesn't even cover gas money getting there.
I had some old video games and movies. I got more than I thought I would. Nice selection of books, media and some board games. The staff was very pleasant as well.
I feel bamboozled when I go here. I can get a brand new book for a little more in cost on Amazon. Why are the books in such bad shape and yet cost 7-8$? They used to be 4-6$?
I needed an extra copy of a book and the quick shipment to the store was very timely!
Great service and friendly employees!
Prices are remarkable as well.
I can find something I want to read every time I visit.or watch! Good selection of blu-ray movies at this location at a reasonable price. Staff is helpful on looking for a book if you are looking for something specific. Granted they won't have it but if you want it they will ship it to the store if available. Now to sell your books you are not expecting a payday here. You will get some money for them but nowhere near what you paid. This is not the point you are recirculating what you have for others to buy. If you are moving for instance and have boxes and boxes of books you don't want to bring along take them here. Libraries in general do not take donations of used books. There are some international book donations you can do but in general you are paying for the shipping.if the choice is landfill or HPB I would go HPB.
They always have what I need especially for the kiddo's school required reading (it's the 1st place I call before checking Amazon).
You can find deals sometimes. However lately I feel this place should be renamed Three quarter priced books.
Great store. Clean. Lots to find for everyone. But don't bother taking your books there for trade in. I had a Lot of books. Some sets were 1st addition. I got about $12.50. Terrible.
It has a huge selection of books and dvds. They have unique books that are no longer printed. They have a variety of game boards to buy.
Half priced books used to be a favorite of mine but it seems, with everything else, the price isn't what it used to be. Or maybe my memory is skewed. I've looked at brand new books that have been cheaper than what half price is charging. Still it's enjoyable to browse.
This store had exactly what I was looking for, for my grandson and granddaughter. Prices were great too.
Love this chain store, there at least 4 times a week. Lot's of music, books ect. Workers are super helpful and friendly.
They sell books. At half price even. There is plenty of other things there that are interesting. Movies, games, collectibles. It's worth taking a look at.
I love this staff and store. They are so nice and the staff has no issues ordering books from outta state either.
Disgusting service. Waited over a MONTH for a script to arrive to my house after I ordered it. All to be told (today), once I called and provided the receipt number, that the item "maybe" wasnt available. That "might" be what happened. They have no "record" of an order or my name. (HILARIOUS AS I HAVE ORDERED FROM THEM SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST. HMMM) corporate greed is everywhere including syphoning my 11.00 (which in the grand scheme isnt a lot but its still mine and not theirs)
Do you love books and you don't wanna spend a lot of money? Visit this store you will not be disappointed. They have the new and second-hand books for less.
