Hartford Hill Winery reviews
14 It was a nice place. Beautiful scenery.
Service was awful. We were first in building and took over an hour for a pepperoni pizza and over 20 minutes for a cup of coffee and curdled cream. It’s very disgusting that there is no sanitizer and everyone’s hands are touching the condiments and stuff just left out.
Impressed. Great food. The ‘worst’ wines are good and some are pretty great. Everything from entry level sweets (Randall, Blueberry) to well balanced and moderately flavored with modest tannin notes and smooth finishes. I liked Resilient. Beers are all good, flavors are modest yet drinkable, even the IPA. I enjoyed the coffee stout.
Overall, really good food and crowd pleasing wine and beer. Nice facility as well and a great experience. Friendly staff that knows the products. Plenty of parking.
Had a great afternoon at Hartford Hill Winery. Thank you Randy for giving us the history and it was a pleasure to meet you! Terry & Mindy - Reno NV
The facilities were stunning and the food and drinks seemed great. We all had a great time at first. The one star lost was due to the rudeness we encountered by one woman running the sip and build event. I paid $40 to make a craft only to be scolded for “working ahead” because “others might follow my lead”. Not the environment I wanted to be in for a relaxing night out with friends to support a good cause. Took the fun right out of the night for me. It was no longer a craft. It was an assignment that had to be done a specific way.
Very charming atmosphere. Good beer, wine & cheese platter. Nice find on a Sunday drive looking for apples.
Second time we visited here and brought friends. This is proven to be a great place to visit with a relaxed atmosphere and great service. The staff is fantastic and friendly!
Good wine and beer! The brick oven pizzas are very good. The staff are so friendly! No complaints whatsoever!
I had an amazing time. This was my first time there.the food was delicious and of course the wine.we were there to listen to the band.had fun dancing with my guy.
Beautiful! Great atmosphere. Went for a co workers wedding party and had a wonderful time.
Went to a wedding for my brother this past weekend. Oddly enough there was a massive craft show going on the day of the wedding! Traffic was backed up for miles and the owner thought it best to make the wedding guests pull out into the other lane to get into the venue, why? All because he wouldn’t cancel the event scheduled AFTER my brothers wedding! He also wouldn’t give any money back to my brother or waive his deposit. To top it all off it was apparently our responsibility to put tables and chairs back after the ceremony…mind you only where the owner insisted on having them put…live band was performing “Man I feel like a woman” during the ceremony…craft show kinda sucked, lite beer tasted like watered down beer and the peach wine was over priced…for one winery I have never been to it will be one I never go back to and will never recommend for a venue to host any event!
Had wedding here (Booked over a year beforehand) and the owner couldn’t manage to not book one of the biggest fall festivals in the area the same exact day. As you can imagine, complete chaos and lack of parking for wedding guests. Owner didn’t seem to care though as he made the mistake and didn’t offer anything to make up for it. Long story short, don’t book any events here unless you want him to book over you and him to tell you “it’s fine. ”
I would not recommend this place for a wedding. The owner booked a craft show on the same day leaving all the guests and bride and groom in traffic backed up to 305. He didn’t have any intentions of making it right by giving them a partial refund, or even waiving the deposit. Instead, he offered to give them decorations or just a full refund to go somewhere else (with only 2 months notice, there’s definitely not going be be another venue available). The wedding party was planning on taking pictures outside. We have to weave through many people to get to a spot that seemed less crowded. Shania Twain “I feel like a woman” was being played by a live band outside during their ceremony. AND lastly, we scheduled rehearsal dinner which was incredibly difficult because there were people eating food and drinking wine for a class reunion in the space that we were supposed to practice. That’s all. Their wine and beer and atmosphere is very nice. I just would never recommend booking a wedding there unless you want potential chaos.
Was there for a festival Fall in the Woods. Lovely venue, great vendors and will definitely return for the winery.
