High Thai'd Cafe reviews
17 I've always had a great experience here in-person and take-out, and the real Thai food is really good. The Pad Thai is great, and I'd recommend them to anyone!
Do wish they'd get a queue for the phone though, sometimes you have call back during busy hours because the lines are taken.
Super tasty food, nice staff, quick times, just an overall swell place, highlight of my day getting food here!
Great Thai food! When I'm in Cleveland I always stop by here. One of my favorite stops on Coventry.
Love this place so much. Can't bring myself to go to many other take out places on Coventry because the food and service here is consistently amazing. No complaints.
Awesome place with such great food & variety! Their country style pad thai is a must try. And I love their shumai and chicken satay!
Ordered ahead via door dash. Pho with chicken and a Thai tea. Arrives 20 min later and my order wasn't ready. The place was essentially empty but I assumed there could have been a lot of other online orders, so I was ok to wait a bit.
Got my food to go about 8 min after arriving. Got home and unpacked.
Opening the container that had the chicken, basil, cilantro, sprouts etc. I was greeted by an odor. The basil, cilantro and sprouts were all brown. I almost didn't even recognize the cilantro it was clumped on the chicken.
I wanted to give benefit of doubt and chalked the discoloration up to. "maybe the steam in the container wilted the herbs on the way home " so I grabbed a bowl and began to assemble my soup.
First sip, broth was ok.could be a little more flavorful. Next a bite into the chicken. Oh my it was SOUR! I'm nauseous as I write this.
I'd like to be forgiving in tough times like this for restaurants because of COVID 19, but serving bad herbs, bean sprouts and sour chicken can make people VERY SICK and there is no excuse for that.
This was my first and last visit to High Thaid.
Bad service last two weeks.
Today, short and mean on the phone, except for when there is a busy signal like all the other days.
I came in to order and explain to the lady on the phone that I know it's just my little $12, it might be busy right now, and I don't pretend that I know how to do her job.but regardless that her tone towards me was short and mean.
She explained back that she was doing her job by interrupting me on the phone, and if I wanted to, I could come around the stand and see how the job is done. In front of every customer in there.
I should have walked out then.
Instead I said that is not what I'm saying.
She responded with so do you still want the order? , When she read it back, she had had my phone order wrong.
I tried to correct it and ask the wait time. She said the chef hadn't started it before, but should have it in about 15 min and she walked away.
She went in the back and came out twice helping the other 4 customers sitting waiting for their takeouts, all the while the phone was in the chair, the screen said call duration 5min23sec and counting. She never read back my order to me, so I still don't know if it's right. But after the twice back and forth, and I am still standing in front of the stand making eye contact, ignoring me both times. Well I walked out.
I'd call and cancel but the phone is off the hook. No "is there anything else you need. " And I never got an apology. Seems a $12 customer is never right. And I've come here for near 10years my family and my friends.
The man on the phone is so much better at the job and it bothers me to say that about a fellow female. Who is that woman!?
Always great food here, I recommend the Thai style basil, pad see ew or one of the signature dishes, avocado curry. Of corse don’t forget the Thai ice tea, lunch prices are a really great deal
My salmon, broccoli and rice noodle dish was excellent. Very clean and quiet place. We will be back!
Great Pad Thai, good service time, good value, and very friendly and welcoming service. One of my favorite local places to go
This place is a treasure trove of amazing thai cuisine. I am quite literally addicted to their Pad See Ew (I'm there at least once a week to get my fix). Got my brother try out their food once and now he's hooked on their Chicken Pad Thai! The ambiance is quite nice; cozy even. And the staff are always friendly. I can't recommend this place enough!
One of my top spots for delicious Thai food. Went there on a Friday I think. The service was sociable and attentive. Prices are reasonable I would say. Food is like a restaurant in Louisville I loved.
A great Thai place with a large menu. Cozy location with some parking nearby (some free but not all). Great tea and drink selection.
The food was excellent, but it took a while for it to arrive. The poor server looked like he was doing the jobs of two or three people. They were obviously understaffed and he was doing the best he could. Hope management resolves this. Would have been a five star rating if not for the issues.
Great for Thai takeout. The country style pad Thai is a mildly spicy treat. Recommend the red curry with chicken, it's a favorite.
Besides slyman's when I go to Cleveland I have to stop here great Chinese food and chicken wings
The restaurant itself is nice and clean, and the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. Very high quality. The reason for one star is because it is unfairly expensive. There are many other Chinese and Japanese restaurants that are just as nice, if not nicer, that are half as expensive as this restaurant. So how expensive? For each person, it will cost at least 30 dollars, assuming you are actually hungry. You have to order multiple entries or one entry plus a bunch of appetizers if you want to be served as much as they serve you at the mall for 8 dollars. If you are rich, go here, and enjoy. If you are not rich, there are way better alternatives. There are two other Asian restaurants right next to this one, and they are both way better in terms of value for your $$$
