I haven't been to this course in 10 years. They are improving by leaps and bounds. What an enjoyable 9 holes. Fairways we're good, greens had been aerated recent but putted rather true.

Very nice banquet Hall with a professional staff including security.
But, the parking area is pretty dark!

The courses are in much better condition than 2-5 years ago. Greens are puttable again and fairways have consistent grass. Hope they can continue the upward trajectory - this is a historic spot!

No one would answer the phone, so I booked 18 holes for the Blue Course on Golf Now (for 3: 30 pm on a Thursday). In arriving at the course I was informed there were no 18 hole rounds possible, so wound up playing 9 holes on the Red course. Greens were ok, but overall condition of the course was not very good (although it has been quite wet and rainy). Pace of play ok at 2: 10 for 9 holes. Limited number of bunkers which were in very poor condition. No pro shop at all, no snacks etc. Glad that Highland survives as a golf course but hope to see some improvement coming closer to the standard of the Metropark managed courses (eg Manakiki, Shawnee Hills, etc)

Course is nice and fairly priced. However it's ran by a bunch of 4th graders. If you want to spend 7 hrs playing 18, great spot

We only played 9 holes on the red course in the early evening. So take this review with a grain of salt. I was genuinely surprised at the pleasant surprise of the course condition. I no longer live in Cleveland but my last experience here was horrible given it was about 7 years ago. But I found the greens to be solid and well maintained. Fairways were in good condition considering its peak season. Tee boxes leaves a little to be desired. Couse was fun, not very challenging but fun and in good shape as a whole. Mesh this with cost raise 4 stars to 5 stars.

Quite an improvement in the course. Well maintained fairways and rough. Greens in very good condition, tees boxes need work. Staff not very friendly.

You honestly have a better chance of getting a tee time at Augusta National unless you’re a part of the 80+ senior league that they somehow have playing 13 days of the week.

Good: it's almost never crowded, one of the few places in NE Ohio you can just walk in and play without a tee time.

The Eh.: It's one of the easiest courses I've ever played, probably good for newbies and weekend hacks. But if your handicap is under 15, i doubt this course will challenge you.

The Not so Good: it's not a well maintained course.don't expect manicured tees/fairways/greens. Expect rock hard ground and greens just a step above putting on gravel.

For all of that, it's priced well and if you live on the east side and don't belong to a private club this is pretty much your only option to get in a quick round without driving 30+ minutes.

Reserved and paid for a tee time, got up to tee off on the first hole and was stopped by the starter and another employee. They refused to let us play. They were both very rude and came up with BS excuse after another for why we couldn’t play. I have been golfing for 15 years and have never seen a course refuse to let you play after you have paid. Avoid this course! They will steal your money, have you pay to play then refuse to let you play.

Don't tell anybody. There was nobody on the Red course but us today. Maybe the threat of rain. But the course is so enjoyable. I found it challenging. The natural beauty of the place was inspiring.
I heart Highland Park.

I wouldn’t even give it half a star I’m from out of town called and asked if they had club rentals I was told yes I show up there’s a driver and a 9 iron sitting in a bag what a joke!

Very pleasant surprise. Well maintained course and friendly and efficient staff. I'd like to keep this hidden treasure a secret but in fairness, I am going to share.

Scheduled on golf now and when we showed up they said "we don't have any carts, we weren't supposed to be open yet. "

But you are open? So accommodate your golfers. Also, the starter couldn't have been more rude and reprimanded us for taking practice swings before teeing off. We couldn't believe it. Never heard of something so bizarre, it was like he was looking to have a power trip. Won't be back and we love golfing our local public courses weekly.
