Hill St Pub, Toledo OH

One of the best dive bars in the area! Eddie is one of my favorite old timers to chat with, and always makes everyone feel welcome!

Like the previous comment stated, not a welcoming bar. Owner (I guess his name is Eddie) even came in near 1am and complained the music was too loud and killed the ehhh ok atmosphere. I even heard he steals the bartenders tips but that’s just speculation, I have no way to verify. So beware. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone but maybe a rat. In fact, not only myself
But others should call the health department because that place is not okay to be open. I don’t feel well after eating at this establishment.

This was not a welcoming atmosphere, me and my husband got all kinds of bad vibes and looks, we were made to feel as if we were the wrong color to be in there establishment. Which is was sad seeing how we have been residence of Holland for almost 9 years and have never been treated in such a manor. We will not be returning. We will be spending our dollars where we feel welcomed and will also be spreading the word.

Staff was great, sadly the clientele is not welcoming of anyone other than a cis white male. My LGBTQIA friends were verbally attacked by the customers. 2 stars because there was No security or bouncer in place to make us feel safe.

The owner is a nice enough guy. The place on the outside look kinda beat up, but a pleasant surprise once we got in. Good times over all.

Fun place, nice people, owner really takes care of customers.

Hill St is an amazing place stop by and experience some of Toledo's culture it's a one of a kind bar a hidden gem.
