Hotel Hilton Akron/Fairlawn reviews
21It’s very nice international Hotels for overnight stay for business/corporate personnel’s and for tourist too. They’ve many conferences room too make such seminar and small events with dinner party.
Have stayed there, and have been there for catered banquets. The food is always very good, the staff is friendly, and the hotel is always very well cleaned and nice looking. A great place to stay in Akron.
I have been trying to get my money back from them for weeks! They do not answer the phone (even when the main Hilton customer service tried). I was told on two different phone calls with the main Hilton number I’d have a refund issued by now. I’ve also tried sending emails to the customer service agent that was helping me last time. No response. If this is how they treat guests before they even get there, no thanks! I’m not one to leave negative reviews bashing a business but multiple phone calls and e-mails obviously do not work.
Stayed on the 1st floor.view of an alley. Although you can access wifi, the cellular service in non existent in our room. The room and bathroom are outdated. The caulk is cracked and dirty, bathroom has some mildew, and the water does not empty well in the sink. The door is tricky to open, we have to pull up and push to enter. The room itself is outdated. It does have a mini fridge but the coffee maker is those 2 cup at a time pod version. Hotel is still operating under "covid rules", so housekeeping must be requested 24 hrs in advance otherwise you will not receive service. You can request needed items from the front desk, but go to the desk and don't use the hotel phone. I tried the phone but no one answered and there was heavy static on the line. On a positive note, the front desk staff have been very accommodating. The parking is free and plentiful. If you just need this location and a room to sleep it will do just fine, but if you are used to an updated look and some perks (free continental breakfast/manager evening reception) book elsewhere.
After two weeks of back and forth pointless emails they still are no help. Keep that in mind if you want to stay here. If you have any issues you will get no help.
Truly one of thee most nicer hotels in this area. Everything about the place is beautiful nice and clean. Staff is amazing will definitely be going back
Unfortunately we were given a room that had bugs. This happens but what bothered us was that in addition to a the handful that were walking around our bathroom, there was a colony behind the door, as if they had been building their home there for a while. Ick. The front desk gave us a new room (with peeling wallpaper) and it was bug-free but we were creeped out about it all. Beau's was closed for dinner when we went but open for breakfast. The food was good but the patio where we sat was filthy - we were sat at a table with crumbs all over it, weeks of smudges and hand prints on the glass partitions outside, etc. It was just an okay experience.
Restaurant closed. No room service available. 24 hour notice required to have room cleaned and sheets changed. Using Covid to reduce service
Here for a 1 day conference. Very clean, neat place! Both the breakfast and lunch provided was outstanding! Bacon, scrambled eggs, chicken, beef, pasta salad, deserts, all excellent! Highly recommend.
This hotel desperately needs to be renovated. From the entrance to the convoluted setup (why are the elevators all the way down a long hallway and why isn't there any signage?) to the really dated rooms and small bathrooms, the low ceilings, etc, it just wasn't up to Hilton standard. In fact it looks like an old Holiday Inn that was converted.
The fact that there wasn't even a bar to have a drink after we got back for the evening was disappointing. There's a restaurant but it's an outside company's restaurant so their hours are limited.
Then there's the just dumb things like the TV being place to the far left of the room (kind of in front of the little sofa) instead of where it is in every other hotel (and where it belongs) which is centered in front of the TV.
The ceilings are also really low throughout the halls and also the rooms. For a 6'4" guy like me it's a bit claustrophobic.
Just okay, nothing more.
Great hotel. Much better quality than the price would reflect. Beau's restaurant is fantastic. The pork chop was incredible. Location is great too. Across the street from mall and close to all the other shopping and food you would need.
Warning. Do not stay here. They tried double charging me for one night stay. If I didn't do my research they would have tried to get away with it. I will never stay at this property again.
Room decor was a bit dated and some things like the outlet strip on the nightstand were loose. The metallic rack in the shower was rusted and there were ants in the bathroom.
I was very disappointed. I thought this was going to be a higher class hotel but the cleanliness was horrible. Carpet was sticky. There was a hairball in the shower. The refrigerator was not cleaned out.staff was friendly but I will not stay here again. I paid for breakfast and there was no breakfast. If I could I would give zero stars.
Flew in from Texas for my nephew's wedding stayed here 3 days and the reception was held here. First class all the way what a wonderful time
Stayed at this place about two months ago. Been dealing with a mix up on the $100.00 that you pay per night on incidentals. Spoke to Jennifer front desk manager and then she transferred me to Lee in accounting only for him to pass me over to the General Manager Edson Pinhero, only for him to not take care of the issue. Poor customer service at all levels.
The restaurant and bar (which are listed as an amenities) were closed on a Saturday. We left to get take out and when we returned there was absolutely no parking in the lots due to a wedding. So, we had to park very far away. Check out time was not listed anywhere in the room. The room was clean; however, the shower was tiled and grouted and it appeared the grout was not cleaned in years. Our room had a door to an adjoining room for shared suites. But we were not sharing, and the door gave no soundproofing whatsoever. The guests next door were not loud, you could just hear their every conversation and sounds.
Paying over $250 for one night, I honestly was expecting better, especially from a Hilton.
The best place I have found to stay when in Fairlawn to see my parents and help them with errands and appointments. Location is excellent, rooms are comfortable, up-to-date and very clean. Restaurants are aplenty for dine in or carryout!
I really like this Hilton property. Our room was clean and modern, the outside covered patio was a perfect place to spend a day enjoying the great Autumn weather reading a book and the location was also spot on for getting around the entire area. The employees were friendly, helpful and engaging.
My only “complaint” is that the eggs on the breakfast buffet were just to runny to eat, but I was given two fried eggs on request.
Very disappointed. Our room was not clean and I paid for the breakfast included package and they are not serving hot breakfast. This is a first and last time stay.
