Holiday Inn Express Columbus Downtown, an IHG Hotel

The upgrades put in place at this hotel work. It felt cleaner, it looked cleaner, it smelled cleaner. The staff was great. Had to use keycard entry after 9pm, so security was much better.

Very very clean. Hotel staff were fantastic and helped us with anyrhing we needed. The outside pool was very nice and a great spot to relax for a bit during the heat of the day. The breakfast in the morning was hands down some of the best breakfast a hotel can offer.

Pros: The place is convenient to the German Village of Columbus Ohio. The facility was easy to find convenient for our needs of exploring the area. It was clean and updated. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was adequate. Onsite parking for a fee.

Cons: Upon arrival we discovered the TV in our room did not work. This was remedied within 30 minutes by one of the staff. At the front desk, we asked permission to leave our vehicle on the lot for a short time past checkout time of 11: 00 am. Permission was granted. Without notice an additional $10.00 was added to our fee for parking. We left the lot at 11: 30 am. Thirty minutes past checkout. This had to be the most expensive unsecured parking lot in the city.

It's a Holiday Inn Express. Not the cleanest one I've ever stayed at, but it will work for a night. Comfortable beds, but faucet leaks in the bathroom. Overall worth staying at.

I had the worst experience ever first time being there it seem pretty cool during my arrival there the receptionist was nice at first gave me my room in everything so on my way to the room it was good until the seat in the shower was broken I call down to the lady she said she know in that I was good I trusted her so I stay in the room remind u I paid for the room in gave a deposit which they said would return to me in 14 days anyway 14 days went by nothing so I place a call the same lady answer she was rude said that I didn’t give no deposit that there’s nothing they can do that she would contact the manager in he would call me no one called me back at all they had stolen from me if I don’t hear from them im going to Immediately take legal matters cuz I don’t want this to happen to no one else

I thought it would be more noisy, but it wasn't. Updated rooms, outdoor pool area and breakfast in the morning. Staff was friendly. Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from within walking distance.

Had a very nice overnight stay. Clean rooms, decent breakfast in the morning.

NEVER book with this hotel. I had a reservation for July 11-12, but when I arrived at the hotel around 10: 30pm the woman at the front desk told me they were booked for the night. I explained to her that I had the reservation and showed her the email and confirmation number, but she stated with a "tough luck" tone that she can't do anything since she didn't have any vacancies. She was impossible to converse with and completely unapologetic, but what I learned was that this hotel will overbook their rooms and just cancel the reservations of those who arrive later. She did not offer to help me find another hotel in the area, even though it was their fault for overbooking, so I was forced to pay more than I had anticipated at another hotel last minute.

This was one of the most unusual check ins and stays. The reception was outside smoking when we arrived, we were given a room and proceeded to our room. We opened our room only to find another guest already in that room. Back to reception, not there waited and given another room. The toilet was blocked which they fixed, no coffee pods and not very clean. I would not stay here again.

Your front desk clerk Ms. Marylin was awesome she was very courteous very kind awesome customer service. Enjoy my stay room very clean. Breakfast was great.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The room was clean, more importantly the bathroom was very clean. Great water pressure in the shower and lots of hot water. The beds were comfortable and again very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in the perfect location. Cute bookstore right around the corner and in walking distance of tons of restaurants and bars. Also love that Columbus has the scooters to rent. The hot buffet breakfast was really good. And the pool was probably the best part about this place. Lots of lounge chairs and again very clean. Will be staying here anytime I'm in Columbus.

WE stayed in this hotel for a quick trip to visit a restaurant we wanted to try. I was hesitant when we drove up because it looked pretty dated and tired on the outside.we parked and went in to check in and WOW! The ladies who helped us at the front desk were so very friendly and helpful! They asked us if we had any questions or needed any recommendations.and then they found directions for us to walk to the restaurant we wanted to try.and they were always smiling and kind.we went upstairs to our room and we were still a bit hesitant.the elevator was old and noisy and the halls, though clean were older.we opened the door to our room and it was absolutely perfect! The air conditioner was on and the room was nice and cool.the bed linens were crisp, clean and white.the pillows were the most amazing hotel pillows I have ever laid my head on and the bed was soooooo comfortable! We had a great nights sleep. Our room was spotless! The hotel was full that night with people going to two different weddings and some softball teams there for a tournament so we could hear doors shutting and kids out in the hallway but it didn't bother us at all.truly a great stay.in fact we are going back to the restaurant for our annual Christmas time dinner out and staying two nights at this same hotel. GREAT place!

Mixed review. Parking lot and front entry needs a good power washing but pool looked nice. Shower in room was clean but tile floor was not. Desk chair needs to be replaced.

Very basic. College type room furniture. Relatively clean, badly needs new room carpeting. Friendly staff. Overheard them resolving an issue with someone else to his satisfaction.

My experience with the front desk manager when he was on duty was very pleasant today checking out the front desk clerk was short and rude very disappointing
