Holiday Inn Express Fairfield, an IHG Hotel reviews
16Pool didnt work. Mold in shower just a bad experience. Will not go there again. Ask for a discount. Didn't get one.
Excellent hotel with an awesome staff! I've had a few challenges with checking in, and Dee has been very helpful each time resolving the issue.
It's the ol' reliable. When other places are too high, the price here is just right. When you get shotty service elsewhere, they take you in like family here. When you just don't trust the seedy hotels nearby (except obviously the fancy ones you can't afford), you come here for a clean well kept bed and an easily transportable breakfast. Let's be real here, people. Even fancy places have bad breakfasts, so why waste your money there? They stock up with some decent products that you can grab n go with, AND they offer sit down breakfast, so no need to worry about being stuck with a breakfast u don't want. I have seen a lot of bad hotels in the area with bed bugs, mystery stains, and bedspreads lined with your grand momma's dandruff, but this lil place and one other have stayed good for me for the last 25 years I've been visiting this place, with this hotel having served me dozens of time over the last 10 years for sure.
The rooms were clean aesthetically, but we could tell the deep cleaning had not been done. Between the mold and mildew in the heating unit to that in the corners of the shower, this place really needs some extra attention. Woke up with eyes burning and sore throat after sleeping with the heater on. There’s absolutely no telling when the last time was the filters were changed.
This hotel is surrounded by weekly stay hotels. I felt really unsafe. The hotel was also dirty. I felt so unsafe that I actually checked out the same night I checked in
This hotel is amongst many in this area that traffick women without their knowledge. There are webcams in the rooms.
Had a few problems they don't clean your room every night. And dealt with a rude employee in the morning during the breakfast.
Desk lamp Inop, peephole broken, moldy ceiling at vent area. Room smelled like Lysol spray. Breakfast was cold. Gravy in a supposed heated tray was at room temp at 9 am, eggs were also cold. Warrants a visit by board of health. Coffee was good n hot.
We were there over a weekend and they don't clean the room or replinish anything unless you stay more than 5 days. I had to empty my own trash and retrieve my own clean linen. I have never stayed in a hotel that they didn't clean room every day or have to chase my towels. No bathtub shower only. The only great service we had was the young lady at our checkin. The continental breakfast was good on Saturday, the older lady and young guy was awesome. Our experience for Sunday was not so good the young lady was maybe not having a good day and it showed. The way she treated the customers was rude.
The manager did say she would take care of it. She was very sorry.
This hotel is dirty! There was a rat running around in the lobby… Do not stay in this filthy place. This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever seen. There’s also a stench in the atmosphere. Front desk lady was also rude when I pointed out the Huge rat running around as the rat was the guest and I was the rodent.
Not enjoyable at all! Always felt need to watch your back! Carpet cleaner wouldn't help!
Wish I had known about this location for my earlier trips. Food and the highway are close by. Nice place to lay your head for a few days.
Front desk very rude! Especially the manager. Someone stole from me and they didn’t have ANY cameras! Very terrible hotel! If I was able to give this hotel 0 stars.then I would!
I enjoyed this hotel so much, the manager Erin was the nicest person I’ve ever met. She was very accommodating and understanding. The breakfast deserves 10 stars it was hot and fresh and tasted delicious. My room was so clean and cozy I stayed a few extra days just I loved it so much! You won’t regret your stay here.
The front desk ladies was really nice very helpful an the room was clean bed very comfortable very relaxing time no bugs
The front desk staff were both super nice. My room was upgraded to a suite. It was very large and nice. It looks like the entire hotel was updated recently. The only issues I had was the tv had some issues but that’s because someone had unplugged something from the back of it. And the beds weren’t comfortable at all which is unusual for IHG. And if you need Wifi, just forget that. It was the worst Wifi I’ve experienced. I have unlimited data so it wasn’t a huge deal but if it would’ve been a weekday that I stayed, I would’ve had to leave immediately for work bc Wifi would not stay connected at all. Hoping to get there early enough next time to enjoy the pool and hot tub. Also housekeeping was yelling down the hallway with each other at 8 am and woke me up which is unfortunate as I usually don’t go to sleep until 3-4 am so I got very little sleep.
