I have lots of good things to say about this company, lots of nice people working here that do what they can to help in any way they can. But I’ve had a few instances where I thought I was overcharged. I just rented a 40’ man lift for 4 hours for $195.00 plus tax, damage waiver, fuel, delivery and pickup I ended up paying over $550.00 for the rental to put some siding on a house. Delivery was 15 miles from their shop and was delivered with a truck and trailer which they charged $246.00 for drop off and pick up. I could almost see that charge if it was delivered with a semi.

I rented a dingo and dump trailer from Holmes to do some work on my back yard. They were very friendly and responsive. I picked up a nail in one of the tires on the dump trailer and they sent someone out right away to get me going again. I look forward to renting here again.

Have bought 2 mowers there. Had the first ten years, and just needed repairs, but just upgraded to a zero turn.

Just got a zero turn for 0% Interest for 3 years, and it included a 3 year warranty that I did not have to purchase! And they will do the warranty repairs right there if needed.

They pick up and deliver. The new mower was free delivery. Definitely recommend!

Great selection of rental equipment, typically cheaper than surrounding rental companies. They’ll take care of you if there is an issue with the rental, can’t ask for more.

Rented a post pounder at the end of January it didn't work called and they brought another after waiting 2 days same issue, driver said they wouldn't work if it was too cold (never heard of that before) charged the card holder for 2 pieces of equipment that didn't work for almost a weeks rental.ended up going somewhere else and had no problems with the equipment working so we know it was there equipment and still won't refund anything back. Will never rent from this place again

Worked with Wayne (Salesman), met Nate the owner. They are fun people to get to know. Very knowledgeable about all the products that they rent and sell. Have a large service and parts dept. And a great selection of rental equipment that actually works as designed

Holmes Rental in Mount Vernon, OH is my first and typically only stop for my equipment needs. Honest and trustworthy staff that have real world experience keep me coming back. They are more concerned with getting you what you need rather than upselling you to a more expensive purchase. Highly recommended!

After years of good business sad to say I am no longer a customer. Never rent a bobcat with a grapple attachment because there hoses are too long and drag under the tires without a hose saver kit. Then try to charge you hundreds of dollars for new fittings. Rental insurance was worthless I guess.
