Home Slice Pizza reviews
13This is the place to be! Great service, we love Brady behind the bar. Great staff and pizza, wings and salads.
Ordered an XL thin Soprano and ask for extra cheese. The cheese looked a little thin on the pizza and ask the manager if that was extra cheese and he said yes. I'm a little bit disappointed in that. See picture provided. And got a meter parking ticket for only going inside it and waiting 6 minutes. Be careful the parking people wait for pizza pick ups.
Just straight down rude. Online was weird I called right away to just add more so it would not be a whole issue and they said they can't and won't and it's too late. Left me on hold and forgot about the call first time had to call again. Will never order here again.
Not only is this the best pizza in Toledo but I’d say it’s easily the best pizza in the state of Ohio!
Honestly.really dissapointing. We ordered the margherita pizza and it's not even close to one. It's our choice kind of pizza whenever we order elsewhere and this is the worst. Zero sauce, mouthfuls of garlic, and a few sprinkles of dried basil? Dough was flimsy and undercooked. If this is what new york style pizza is i'm not getting it again.
My Favorite place for pizza! Best pizza in town! Brian, upstairs bar tender is AMAZING! Downstairs guys are AWESOME, Dominique, Derrick, Cody & Dale are super fast & James, James is my FAVORITE! ALWAYS a big smile & helpful!
keep up the GREAT job ALL of you guys!
Disappointed with my recent pick up order. When I called to place my order I was told it was going to be 1 hour and 30 min wait. I had no problem with that. I showed up after an hour and my pizza was ready. My 5 min trip back home and my pizza was cold and seemed as if it was sitting done for a while.
The pizza was delicious. The building and the employees were cool and helpful. Cashier even gave the kid a free ice cream cone on the way out.
The only thing not so great was the cleanliness. We sat across from the kitchen open door and there were employees putting their bare hands in a container of cheese, stacks of containers left on the prep counter that should remain cold like dressings, cheese, meats. And the glass door on the reach in cooler was so caked with gunk that the glass wasn't see through anymore. I get it - we were there on a busy night but largely this appears to be long term neglect. You don't get that level of caked food and grease in one day.
Great pizza. Like reallllly great pizza but wow the cleaning and the food safety - they gotta tighten it up.
I ordered a large pizza for delivery that arrived cold and very unappealing. Did not have extra cheese like I ordered. Will not come back.
Not Toledo's best at all. First off, they are rude, kept me waiting 10 minutes on the phone and admitted they forgot about me.when I asked if they were busy they just ignored me. And they're food is inconsistent AF. I had a great pizza when I dined there a while back, but they do not put the same care in your pizza for take out. My pizza came to me raw dough uncooked and sparse toppings, I basically had to throw it away it was unedible.
It’s 10: 32 PM on a Sunday, and I was referred there since Fricker’s was understaffed. I asked if they were still serving and Zach said no, but then two other people walked in and they took their orders. I don’t know if they’re racist or lazy or both.
Ordered delivery from here twice and both times I ordered a 16 inch that, when it arrived, was 3-4 inches too small after checking it with a tape measure. Tastes good, but not worth ordering again.
I love downtown and I love home slice, it's my go to. The staff is actually what I could almost out as "overfriendly" because atmosphere they bring is so great. My food is always prepared well and sometimes I even catch my son playing peek-a-boo with them because they are that well mannered. I have a lot of respect for people that work hard and still have time to do things like have fun with my son while they are working.
