House of Creole Cleveland reviews
16The restaurant was very clean, the waitress was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The music was a vibe.
Everything was Amazing. From the time we walked in, the whole dinner to the time we left was a great experience. Mason was our waiter, and he did his thing. We all loved him so much. I definitely will be back and I recommend everyone to get here to have a great experience. It was my daughter 17th birthday and House of Creole made sure we enjoyed it. Thank you
It was a slow night, so some what expected a laid back service, but it got to the point where I was forgot about, which for this night was highly unacceptable. Having had high quality creole food, this was as close to "cajunfied" meals as you can get. The food wasn't bad but lacked taste I'm used to. The lobster mashed potatoes & deviled eggs were really good and would be worth eating again. I wasn't a fan of Etouffee, as it was too tomato-e, shrimp was not the best, and main "spice" was from jalapenos. The establishment is nice place to celebrate although it is awkward to get to. For the price of ~$70 (18% auto tip) that included no drinks (water only), it'd be hard to consistently come back unless you're craving creole and have no other options.
The best restaurant I went to in Cleveland hands down definitely a must if your in the Cleveland area I had the French toast brunch and it was the best French toast and potatoes I've had in a restaurant 5 stars
My experience was HORRIBLE.the service and food was the worst part. My server? Was rude and uninviting. They overcharged us and my server wasn't going to reimburse me. I'll never be coming back. I want to speak with a manager as soon as possible.
I don't enjoy lack luster reviews but that is exactly what my experience was at this restaurant. First off, the staff was pretty great and thats what saved this visit. They tried. The food was not good. It was bland, lacking flavor and drowned in so much sauce. I actually thought that I had maybe caught a cold and couldn't taste much until after my delicious cocktail arrived. I added salt and pepper and that didn't help. Same for the other dishes in our order. There were also several flies harassing us at the table and the smell if bad seafood came from the kitchen. At this point our appetites were lost. Its November, there are only flies where there is trash/food for them. Its a cute vibe and good location but needs new recipes and a deep cleaning.
Visited a year ago and my experience was just ok, but was invited by Ereona (bartender) so decided to give another try yesterday. The atmosphere is still beautiful. I dined at the bar and was treated like royalty. GM, Jason greeted me immediately, introduced himself and checked on regularly. He was very attentive, funny and just a vibe. Ereona was just as amazing despite her crazy busy night. I was taken care of regardless. Every staff member I encountered were friendly, funny, and worked their butts off. I was very impressed. I was entertained the entire time and ended up staying for 4+hours. To name a few for being great, Ereona, Jason, Mariah, Jasmine, Absidy, Quinton and Mom of Mariah and Jasmine. Now onto my meal. I ordered the Cajun ribeye med rare. My food arrived hot and prepared perfectly. The streak was tender and seasoned very well. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were delicious and I cleaned my entire plate after devouring the fried green tomatoes and spinach dip. I will be returning. Wish I had more pictures but I was starving.
Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing service. All around 10/10. Got the Cajun fries, honey cornbread and the Mac and cheese. I recommend ALL of it! Thanks for an enjoyable Friday evening!
Really enjoyed this place food was amazing really loved the gumbo wish I got two orders of it lol Also had the surf and turf rolls, fried shrimp and fries, seafood fried rice and jambalaya over noodles everything tasted great drinks were great as well will be back soon
Excellent food, good choice of music & atmosphere.all kind are welcome, is what it felt like. Downtown cleveland has brought in the flavor or creole & Louisiana spice. Mason, served us great
Appetizers: Garlic mussels
Surf turf rolls" no surf more like a philly cheesesteak eggroll ️
Shrimp deviled egg: ️
Jambalaya: ️ Tomato sauce with mayo and mixed peppers and onion shrimps cooked perfect, though
Drinks: ️
Everything was EVERYTHING!
Food-delicious! I ordered Bayou rolls, Lamb chops, and the Hurricane on Sunday…
Tuesday, I went back.
Customer service is good, food portions are amazing, wait time for food is never too long, everything comes out fresh, pipping hot, and ready. The jambalaya over pasta is really good, and the Bayou rolls are to die for! And everyone there is super nice and makes sure you’re well taken care of.
Food is fine but flagging that there is a MANDATORY 18% TIP (called party gratuity but applicable for a two-person table). Never had this experience before. I don’t think the food or service worth 18%. I waited about 30 min to get my first appetizer, and there was minimum service as I sat at bar counter. I SHOULD be able to adjust the tip according to my experience.
The overall atmosphere was good, there were bugs flying around which made the eating part irritating. Swatting at flies and nets was very irritating.
My brother comes here frequently since he lives in the building. Since we were in town for the holidays, we decided to give it on Saturday at opening. Our server was amazing and nice. I had the brunch french toast which was very good. The rest of my party had the catfish/shrimp and grits.
I'm a fan of Cajun food, so I decided to come back later to give those options a try. Unfortunately, I was told no take out orders on Saturdays - which my brother wasn't even aware of - so we went around the corner to Zanzibar and gave them my money. The restaurant was nowhere near busy for this decision. I was highly disappointed.
