My loved ones remains were in a freezer for almost a week waiting to be cremated. While this was unsettling, I thought it was a normal waiting time for cremations before asking another funeral home how long families typically wait them to be completed. I wish the staff would have communicated that they were backed up, etc.

Hummel Funeral Home was a Godsend to me and my family when my uncle passed away right after the holidays. Teresa took charge of verifying his prearranged arrangements, contacting the cemetery, helping us plan a small service there inside out of inclement weather and finding a minister to say a few words for friends and family with consulting regarding his life and interests.
Hummel managed all the plans and everything was done respectfully and with heartfelt care. I would recommend Hummel Funeral Home to anyone in need of services.

I could not begin to tell you how pleased I was with the services Hummel Funeral home provided. They took the time to make sure all of our needs were met. They truly cared about us and our loved one. Like we were part of their family. Thank you.

Though I worked mainly with Dean, I must mention the entire staff at Hummel was exceptional. They all went above and beyond the call of duty - from the early conversations about arrangements to following up weeks later to make sure the family was doing ok. I would HIGHLY recommend the Hummel group to handle family arrangements- we are truly glad we did.

If I could give Hummel Funeral Homes 6 stars, I would. I lost both of my parents within 2 months of each other. My family did not have a lot of money to spend and I never felt pressured to spend more money then what we could afford. Kyle was so kind and caring. He made this difficult process so much easier on me. I was given the option to sign documents through email. Kyle walked me through every step of the process. I even received occasional texts from Hummel to check on me and my family afterwards. I cannot express enough gratitude.

Our family has been using Hummel since before I can remember. My dad just passed recently and due to cancer his face mainly his nose and eye was a complete open wound. I couldn’t figure out if I wanted a closed or open casket. The day of the showing I was SO amazed at how good my dad looked.
