Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, Beachwood OH

This was our first time dining at Hyde Park Beachwood on 1/9/21 and the experience was disappointing. We were seated immediately because we had reservations. However, it took 30 minutes for the server to bring water to the table, another 15 minutes to take our drink order and another 15 minutes for the meal order.

I was honestly looking at my phone trying to find other reservations because I wanted to leave right after our drink orders were taken.

When she brought out the bread, she literally sat it down at the far end of the booth and walked away. It was out of reach for anyone at the table.

The service should match the prices. My steak had a burnt taste, the lobster mac and cheese had so much oil at the bottom of the dish that I had to send it back. The most attention she provided was as we were leaving, she came back to make sure she hadn't charged us for the dish.

To top everything off, the fire alarm went off during our dining. You would think someone would come around to explain what was going on, like our server. Nope didn't happen. I am assuming who was the manager did eventually make his way around to the patrons to explain the fire alarm situation.

The highlight of this experience was server Joshua. He came over to grab our dishes at the end of the meal and boxed up our food. I thank him for being personable.

Needless to say, that was our first and last time going to Hyde Park Beachwood.

I arrived at Hyde Park with reservations to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. With 2 tables reserved, I was seated after a 30 minute wait - no big deal. With the adults seated separately, we were quickly greeted by Skylar who was very nice and full of energy. My daughter's table;however, was not greeted for 38 minutes. I asked my server if he would assist since we'd already received bread and drinks. I overheard him arguing with Michael as asked what the hold up was. Long story short, the reservation was for 730 and the main entre finally arrived around 930. I was very disappointed, I even spoke with a manager and asked if he could assist. Not a place I would ever consider spending over $500 at again. Ever.

Food was good. I was surprised though, because I made the reservation through Open Table and I indicated it was for my birthday, but they didn't acknowledge my birthday at all making it just another dinner.

My steak was prepared wrong, mash potatoes were dry not hot and the manager was supposed to replace never came back. I had to wait for my steak to be remade after long wait and nothing was offered for my inconveniences! Cost to much for all of this.

Was very disappointed in the service but at least the manager did apologize for this was only my second time going here and I expected better maybe next time

Went for restaurant week. I got a ceasar salad, the filet mignon, and the dessert was a chocolate torte. They bring out a variety of bread at the beginning of the meal and herbed butter. The ceasar was delicious, filet mignon was cooked perfectly, but the cake was a bit too rich and sweet.

Only other gripe was that it seemed like we were treated a little less warmly. Purely speculating, it may have been because we were coming for restaurant week and not paying as much as normal customers.

Food was excellent. I did have a picture of the short cocktail but I can upload. It was very fresh and very yummy. Steak was served very well was cooked appropriately The Lobster mashed potatoes is very good.the highlight was the cherry cheesecake it was absolutely scrumptious. Why didn't get it five stars. I sat at the bar and had lackluster service. My bill was $107 with tip for one person with no alcohol. Had to ask for refills on my hot tea, had to ask for bread, they did not take away used plates. It was like I was an afterthought because I was single. Also do you say I did leave 20% and that is because the food was outstanding.

What kind of bartender doesn’t ask if she wants the food rare or well done? What kind of bartender charges someone’s card damn near $100 by mistake? Y’all weren’t even that busy. Just.

Other than that, The atmosphere was nice and the male bartender was great.

EXCELLENT FOOD.terrible service until Dean (I believe that was his name) started helping at our table. Our original server was purposely rude. Again the food was outstanding. I'd even recommend others go. Just beware that the service may disappoint!

I was skeptical at first, I was told this was a must see place. I thought how could a restaurant inside a hotel be good. This was the best meal I have ever had. No other food compares, and doubtful no other food will.

Been a regular here since they opened on Coventry many years ago. Best steak house ever! The carpaccio appetizer is one of the best items on the menu. The staff makes the experience wonderful and fun.
Very consistent. We also frequent the Sarasota location and feel just at home there as we do here at the headquarters.

This is a great steakhouse, it was my birthday and the waitstaff was wonderful and attentive without being obnoxious about it. My parents and I had a wonderful meal. The server served me an complimentary dessert because of my birthday and it was chocolate delicious, it was s'more in chocolate pot de creme with Graham crackers. The prices are high but the food and ambiance along with the total professional and friendly servers it was worth the money.

Wonderful service with delicious steak and amazing pear martini. Ice wine is amazing after dinner we purchased the bottle for it is $20 per glass. Purchase full bottles when you can

We went here for restaurant week, so we expected that service / food would be lacking from the usual Hyde Park Standards. Unfortunately, our expectations were correct. While the $33 three-course meal was a good deal relative to the normal prices, the food was disappointing. Mashed potatoes were room temp / cold, and the wedge salad I ordered looked like the lettuce was old (and it was tiny). The meal in general felt like it had been prepared in advance. We were disappointed that Hyde Park did not maintain their standards for this event.

Petite filet mignons were perfect, our server was wonderful, and I really liked the little two man band in the corner of the bar!

Group of 7 of us, waited for 45 min to get water, drinks and bread. Complained to two managers and nothing was done. Managers never came back to check on us. Not expected from a 5 star restaurant.

My wife and I had dinner there tonight celebrating our 36th Wedding Anniversary. Once again Anthony Tonderski (Executive Manager) made our night a memorable one! Every time I’ve visited Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, Anthony and his staff has managed to always exceed our expectations! Not only is the food exceptional but the atmosphere and the way you are treated the moment you step into the establishment makes you feel at home. It’s all about the relationships. You feel like you have known them forever. Special thanks to Anthony and Ryan Kilpatrick (Manager) again!

Top notch restaurant with a great selection. Would highly recommend as everything we had was delicious. Server Chris was very attentive and friendly.

Great food – try the bison, great bar service and table service from Skylar (3 times in a row). Manager Chris was VERY accommodating.
