They have been amazing to work with, we contacted them years ago, and they very honestly told us that the house we were in would not work for solar.
In our current house we wanted to get a few quotes, one of the companies quoted us at a much higher price and they did not look up the bylaws concerning solar in our area, so they overpromised what they were able to do.
Icon Solar came in prepared, had all of the bylaws, knew how many panels we would be able to fit on the back of our house, and even fit a few more panels on the front of the house when we asked.
The entire time they have communicated clearly with us, and we have been impressed by how upfront and honest they are.

Their customer service is top notch. When I couldn't figure the problem out they sent someone directly to my house, and he had the system communicating in minutes. Thanks Marc!

Awesome local company! Got us up and running through every step. The electricians and roofers are employees and that’s a big plus! They cleaned up the work site and everyone was very friendly! After permits were pulled it only took a day to get the panels installed. Super impressed.

The pros: The process of choosing the system went very smooth. The installation went without difficulty. The system works as expected. The unexpected con: the seller insisted that the local electric company reimbursed/counted 1: 1 kwh produced vs used. Incorrect. The electric company counts the worth of kWh produced vs used. And they buy kWh from us for 40% less than what they charge us for theirs.

Fast installation with minimal disruption of our day. Service tech trained on the app and system monitoring.

We are very happy we chose Icon Solar to install our system. The electricians and installers are experienced and professional. Our energy bill has dropped from $300+ to below $30. In addition, they have provided excellent customer support anytime we have questions.

We had a very positive experience with Icon Solar. Their office staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. They worked with us to develop an installation that best served our needs. The installation crew (we had solar panels and electrical panel upgrade done on the same day) worked tirelessly and efficiently. Icon Solar also sent a dry wall mechanic to spruce up the wall where the larger electrical panel was installed. We really appreciated this thoughtful detail. We recommend Icon Solar highly. They were easy to work with, offered top-of-the-line products, and did an outstanding job.

Overall positive experience with Icon Solar. We've had a 52 panel ground mount install for 2+ years and it's worked very well. We had some service needs due to a bad panel or two and the team @Icon has responded appropriately. They've worked with us and it's continued to be a good business relationship. Make sure to do your research and understand the contract stipulations and you'll be satisfied.

ICON Solar installed 36 solar panels on our new house in October 2021; Duke Energy allowed the system to be activated in late January 2022, thus the system has been used for 10 months and 13 days, as of today, December 6,2022.

As I look at the Enphase data on my phone, I can see that the system has generated over 14,100 kilowatt hours and that we have consumed 13,300 kilowatt hours. The system was designed to produce 1,350 kilowatt hours per month. What was promised to me regarding the energy it was projected to produce was correct.

Our house uses gas for the furnace, clothes dryer, stovetop and range. The electric usage includes multiple computers, TV's, two refrigerators, a freezer and a wine chiller, hot water production and keeping the summer inside temperature at 67 degrees for 3800 square feet of living space.

The garage has a mini split for heat and AC, and a charger for our electric car.

I cannot say 'Thank You' enough to the folks at ICON for leading us through the entire process of planning and installing this system for us. We have zero costs for our daily driving excursions, we enjoy the comforts of a cool house in August, and we can activate comfortable AC or heat in our garage.

After deducting the Federal tax incentive for the solar panels, and the tax incentive for the electric car we bought this year, this system will pay for itself in less than seven years.
