This is not the fanciest place in town, but they have the best hot dogs and chili cheese fries ever. One of the few places that uses real cheese for their chili cheese fries. I love this place.

Awesome food hands down just wished they opened at like 4am to get some breakfast that early but beggers can't be choosers.the waitress was very awesome and the cook got the food up fast

Straight-forward, old-school and a little bit dive-ish in the best sense of the word. I personally love this place. There are plenty of parts of the country where you just cant find a diner like this anymore. You order your food, enjoy it, pay a really decent price and then get on your way. Keepin' it simple and delicious.

I loved the chili mac but the hot dogs surprisingly were not good today (haven't ate there in years)

Ok I write this with mixed emotions. 1st the staff was great and very nice. 2nd the food was very tasty and HUGE portions. The problem is 3rd you feel like you're going to need a tetanus shot when you leave. It is old and dirty, literally looks like a movie prop.

I've been eating at Ideal Hot Dog since I was a toddler. I turn 50 on the 7th of this month. This place never disappoints. The best Greek Omelet in the city. Best Chili Mac as well! It's my favorite place to eat breakfast!

This is the best place in Toledo for chili dogs and chili mac. Much, much better than Rudy's Hot Dog. They always got the stamp of approval from my Aunt Kay who grew up in New Jersey and knew Coney Island style foods.
