Restaurant Iron Skillet reviews
17I ordered the teriyaki chicken stir fry with a salad. The salad was fresh but the chicken in the stir fry was very rubbery and had a odd taste but the stir fry itself was good. Most of the food was good the others in my party said. My daughter said her spaghetti had a very salty taste. Our waitress was fantastic and friendly. The prices are a bit higher than you’d expect.
We live in Girard and pass by often. One day decided to stop and glad we did. Foods been excellent very good experience
I thought the food was average but not too overpriced and the portions were more than fair. Our server Cassandra was very nice and attentive. I'll give 4 stars for the service, cleanliness and the atmosphere!
Great place to eat the only reason I didn't give five stars It's a truck stop but still good food and on veterans day every veteran got up to 18 dollars of free food
I got breakfast: eggs, sausage, hash brows & toast. My hubby got Buffalo Mac n cheese. Both meals were good but small portions for the price.
Great food. Friendly fast service. Very clean. Reasonably priced. Lots of food for the price.
The service is fantastic and the food is wonderful we there all the time.you can have those other 2 so called breakfast food places, I stick with The Iron Skillet thank you very much!
The food was good but way over priced. For a unsweetened tea, and Philly cheesesteak. It costed me 19.50.but it was good. Oh and a small macaroni and cheese. Just being honest about everything.
Food is so delicious here, my mouth waters just thinking about that Cajun grilled fish I get everytime I get a chance to get to ohio, can't wait to move back.
The Garlic bread was dry and hard. The Green beans were tough to chew. The Chicken fried Chicken was good and the Mashed potatoes with white gravy. The Sweet Tea was good and the waitress was nice and attentive.
Mary Kathleen is perfect for this job. I have never been in here where I did not see her smiling and making other folks smile)
I enjoyed that spirit.
Had the Meat Lovers Omelet with pancakes. That omelet was a lot-elet of food. Very filling.
The price left my wallet lighter though. 14.00 for it, and 3.30 for a cup of coffee. Expensive, but the tradeoff I guess is that without Iron Skillet here allowing drivers to pass some time, life would not lead us to people like Mary Kathleen!
Thanks to all, including the cook.who put out a very good meal.
Be safe, all!
I absolutely love it here. I once spent Christmas in this place with some family friends and I gotta say it might just be a truckstop diner on the outside its somethin special on the inside. Me and my dad went here a few days ago and might I say it won't be the last.
The great thing about the Iron Skillet is that you are going to get consistently quality food and good service no matter where you go.
I am not an OTR trucker, but I have been doing a lot of driving over the years and I always know that I am going to get good food at a reasonable price here.
Most of the food is pretty good. Staff are really nice. Eating out will be going by the weigh side if prices don't come down!
Food was good, inexpensive, and plenty of it. I would go again. Only gave a 4 because it was dated. Service was excellent!
A few years ago I loved having the opportunity to stop at an Iron skillet while travelling as the food used to be great. It seems as though standards and quality have dropped. Food ordered at my table.chicken fried steak with fries.and fried fish basket and fries.now in the past chicken fried steak used to be a nice piece of steak coated just right topped with gravy.it is now ground beef formed into a steak shape coated sparingly with a very thick spreadable gravy.the "steak" was somewhat dry and had no flavor. Spoke with the manager who informed us that's how it comes in, sorry we don't like how it tastes. The fried fish was a very thin fillet coated in I think may have been cornmeal cutting into it revealed it was wet and mushy.the fries were fine for oven fries. Coffee was good, unfortunately the meals were not eaten and the neither meal was worth the cost. In my opinion I would have had better food from a burger king.
