Islamic Center of Greater Toledo (ICGT) reviews
15Beautiful masjid. Very accommodating for women and mothers with small children. Very welcoming environment. Regular programming which has all been converted to high quality virtual programming during the Covid pandemic. Excellent Imam. Very approaching. Timely and understandable lectures.
Best masjid. Everyone is so kind and helpful. So many programs on a regular basis. Every Khutbah is relevant and inspiring.
We were on a trip from Chicago to New Jersey. Decided to stop here to pray Asr. But the Masjid was closed and the police came and told us that the masjid will open the next day. We should have read the reviews before making a stop here. Don't stop here if you're on a road trip. It's just really sad that a masjid that big (and beautiful) can't accommodate travelers like us to pray.: (
Went to pray isha, there was not a single person there, i was actually creeped it out cuz it was dark and not a single person was there, i think this is for shiaa so be careful
Like a lot of other commenters here - showed up for prayer with my family and doors were locked. Waited 20 minutes before finally leaving. If you're on a road trip do not stop here
So I just got off the phone with this mosque I don't think it's even a mosque. I think it's just a front so they can avoid taxes, idk I'm just speculating. I called they said they're only open from "11am-4pm during business hours" I never heard of a mosque doing that. Inshallah I'm wrong but they don't open for asr and magrib for sure, idk about the other Salahs. May Allah guide them
On arriving at the gates, i felt so happy to look at this masjid. But as i went to the doors, the masjid was closed. I felt very Sad to see that even in Ramadan and that to on a weekend, this masjid was not open to the public, for Asar and Maghrib. Allah protect it from just being an occasional place and protect it from becoming an abandoned place.
I have tried praying at this mosque countless times while traveling through the area, but the doors are always locked.
Stopped by this mosque as travelers in desperate need for a clean place to use the restroom and pray salat. When arriving in the mid-afternoon, we had to circle the entire building to find that all the doors were locked. Only after a sister who was leaving the building opened a door were we able to get in. I'm not familiar with the facility or it's people, but it seems to me that this place is a school before it is a masajid. Their prayer hall separates men and women with a waist-high divider (as far as I could tell) which renders the whole purpose of a divided prayer area useless, and I know others may have different opinions on this, but their wudu area is a massive waste of water. The faucets start a river when you need warm water and as far as I know, Muslims shouldn't waste water in the way this place causes people to do. One of the only times I've ever found a place that needs to calm down with their water output.
Giving it one star because it seems to be beautiful, clean, and well kept, and another star for having the biggest lota (istinja water container) I have ever seen. If you're traveling in a hurry out of the regular prayer times, keep driving.
Mosque is closed during weekends and some holidays, which is really a tragedy, as mosque should be open for all 5 times, 7 days a week and whole year.
We stopped here for jummah. The masjid is beautiful and well kept, MashAllah. The stain glass windows with the calligraphy is a unique feature here. Regular attendees are friendly and welcoming.
The masjid structure is beautiful. Unfortunately, the adherence to the sunnah is lacking, as it usually is in most large beautifully structured masaajid. The people seem to be warm and friendly. May Allah ta'Ala guide the muslims back to the sunnah. Ameen.
Amazing place. The building is absolutely beautiful and everyone there is extremely kind. The mosque does a lot of events with their school for kids and with other religions. There are discussions, lectures, and classes for all ages every Sunday. The mosque is really good with accepting visitors and teaching about the mosque and Islam.
Very beautiful masjid, see it on our way to Cleveland from MI, it's quite surprising of the area it's in very rural and you can see the minarets and done from a distance. Which is also another surprise as not many mosques in USA are that big.
Very, very fine people. I curiously took a chance and stopped by late in the day midweek on a whim. I introduced myself (me, a total stranger) and was welcomed graciously. They were kind, courteous, and spoke to me as a brother. They showed me around their impressive building and were glad to answer to my curious nature. It was a good opportunity reach out and to learn new things and to foster peace and understanding among my neighbor and fellow man.
