Issi's Place reviews
12Asked for well-done, but still had to toss it in the oven when we got home because it was pale and doughy. HOWEVER, it tastes legit, and we like the thinness.
Definitely improved on the service. They told us 15 minutes for our pizza and it was right on time. Staff was very nice as well.
My wife took me to Issi's place for dinner. I ordered the Vegetarian Wrap with a hard boiled egg and fries and a fountain soda. The setting is more like a coney Island where you order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The Wrap had generous portions of vegetables. The fries came out in a basket hot and tasty. The fountain drink I got, the Lipton Brisk sweet tea, was delicious. Refills off the fountain were free. I went home full due to the large portion sizes. Yum!
For those who like fish, their fish sandwich made from tilapia is out of this world. They offer with cheddar cheese (which is how I had it) but I don't know that is would be noticed without. I think there tartar sauce is home-made and really gives added flavor to an all ready great tasting sandwich. Thumbs up to Issi and his staff. Today is Sunday. I'm leaving Cleveland Thurs afternoon. I may be back one more time before I leave!
We came from out of town and stopped there just because we needed kosher food while we were on the way back to Detroit from Lakewood.
We had a white pizza with garlic sauce, and it was a pleasant surprise: the kids wolfed down the entire pizza.
The owner is a pleasant and friendly and down-to-earth Israeli. (He appears to be Teimani)
He gave us pleasant chat and even gave us a bit of free food because they were closing down for the end of the night.
The staff was relaxed and pleasant. (It looks like he had two guys there that were Chabadniks and one attractive secular girl.)
Verdict: Recommended
Falafel with sauerkraut keeps me coming back. Not the cheapest falafel but delicious. I’ve come here when I’m in the neighborhood for decades. Good staff, no nonsense.
Amazing place, very good kosher food.
They should offer Turkish coffee with hawaigh in their menue.
I visit Cleveland often and I make Issi's a regular stop. I keep going back for more extra cheese pizza. It's surprisingly delicious and so filling. The service is great, and Issi himself has fabulous stories to tell.
I was driving through on my way to Detroit, and was starving and tired. Being able to grab a few amazing slices in just a, few minutes made my day! Great pizza, and it's kosher too!
Great kosher place with a good menu.
The food taste pretty goood too!
Come by and enjoy guys!
I ordered a cheese pizza and three falafels. All I got was container with over fried falafels and a pizza. When I called to the restaurant owner picked up the phone, after talking to him and expressing my frustration he hung up on me. Will not do business with them any.
You should honestly be ashamed of the garbage you put out on plates, and that’s after we wait 25 minutes for 2 slices of pizza and pasta, I paid for a meal that I threw in the garbage it was that bad, my 4 year old didn’t even want to touch the pizza.that’s sad
