Department Store JCPenney reviews
19Nice place for middle income families. You can find stylish items for the entire family. But they don't carry major name brands as Macy's does. They no longer have Sephora inside but have a great variety of good makeup. You can find it at Ultra Beauty. There's a misconception that JCP is only for middle age, but there's something for everyone.
Me and my wife had maternity photographs taken last week. The service we received was horrible, after my wife complained that photos was not as good as we wanted them to be, the photographer showed us an attitude with disrespect. Just to remind them…. Just because someone has different accent than you, it does not mean we are dummy! Evaluate your biases and prejudices.
I was just walking through so I could get to polaris mall. I honestly did not know we still had a penny's open in columbus ohio. Can't wait to go back to actually look and shop around.
Waited too long at checkout. The cashier appeared to be more interested in chatting than speeding up to serve those waiting in line. She didn't call for support either. We eventually gave up and left the store.
Good to see JC Penmeys still doing a good business. Rare today but they are staying relevant.
I'm empressed how they have improved their clothing lines and the prices have gotten better with their sales. I will definitely go back
I like to buy in this place but a Hispanic employee who is in the children's area is rude what she says in Spanish please put educated workers so she doesn't have a bad time thank you
Mgr Erin was extremely helpful and friendly
Cashier Maxine was polite and very helpful and friendly.
The store seem worn down. I was looking for men's suits. I did not like any of the suits and there was no one to help you. Years ago they had a staff of people to fit you for a suit and the quality was much better.
Not a fan of the escalators being broken! The elevator thing or having to walk into the mall to go upstairs was a bit annoying today.
JCPenney overall I'd say is on the decline and that is no more evident than at this particular location. Went during a weekday afternoon to buy some dress pants and was unsuccessful because there weren't enough registers, only one on each floor. Waited in a line that did not seem to move for 20-30 minutes and gave up. This was the shortest of the two lines too.
I'd recommend purchasing online if you still want to shop with JCPenney.
Penny's was exactly what you'd expect it would be. There were good quality clothes good customer service my girlfriend and I had a good time
The lady that helped me at jc pennys in ohio was just the best got mo the most for my money
They had a spectacular sale on athletic appearal. Though, the fitting rooms we're not cleaned and there was not an associate stationed there.
I still love JC Penney. But I must say the store is sad. I have noticed the store showing it's age. I don't know if it is the mall not keeping things up as far as repairs and maintenance or if it is Penney's but definitely not the way it was before the pandemic. Really sad. And getting checked out can be a bit frustrating. First you have to find a register that is open and then wait while some dear customers decide to flip through their phone looking for coupons instead of being prepared when they get in line.
Made it ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUR MATTRESSES BECAUSE OF INEFFICIENCY! NEVER AGAIN. This is why no one shops there anymore!
UPDATE: WORST SHIPPING COMPANY! DO NOT USE!
It took me 30 mins to check out. Then I had to go to customer service to have them give me the sales price. The lady at customer service & the manager were nice. The cashiers were not friendly.
I came in with the intention to buy a good suit set in the women's department and was not disappointed.
Of the Liz Claiborne suit blazer, shirt, pencil skirt, and pants I wanted, the first two were available in my size. I was advised in professional detail how to get the same coupon discount to buy the last two for ship-to-store and the 6-digit codes were even written down for me!
While the fitting rooms were unattended, I managed to find what I was looking for and left happy.
I especially must give my regards to this store's women's department associate Ms. Maxine. A friendly grandmother, she was very helpful in working with me to find what I came for, including the solutions for items not available in-store. I must especially recommend her for any fellow transgender folks. She never hinted at anything, calling me ma'am and maintaining a friendly demeanor throughout the whole purchase. I've heard that JCPenney is faily LGBTQ+ friendly, and Maxine made me feel welcome and confident in a way that associates at Macy's or Kohl's have never done.
My grandmother always said how good Penney's is, and Maxine went the extra mile to really make it a worthwhile trip!
