Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts reviews
7Beautiful venue for the performing arts. The entire facility is wheelchair-accessible and easy to navigate. Both the high school and middle school do shows here frequently, as well as occasional out-of-town performers and the New Albany Symphony. Within an easy walk from Market Square and Rose Run Park.
The lecture series never fails to disappoint. Great variety of minds and professionals to keep it interesting.
Amazing facility. Clean, modern, temp well regulated and good sound system. All seats offer a good view. Wall in front of balcony dangerously low.be careful.
I saw a film here on a big screen. The seating was comfortable, not too many stairs. The bathroom had a lot of stalls and sinks to accommodate large crowds. However, there was a glitch during the film showing, and it froze for about 10 minutes. It took a while for anything to be done about it. But, the loss of a star is because the lobby was not very interesting and there wasn't an area with brochures about upcoming events.
Sensory friendly symphony is amazing! The entire staff is so helpful and welcoming. They TRULY WANT everyone to relax and enjoy the show, HOWEVER that can happen for you! I actually liked it more with the noise and movement! And kudos to the musicians for being able to not miss a beat regardless of what sounds or movements are happening around them. Makes me think of the symphony on the Titanic! THANK YOU!
A very nice auditorium with not a bad seat in the house. Parking is plentiful and convenient. We attended a lecture so I can't comment on acoustics for music.
Always enjoy New Albany school performances here. Professional performance space. This program, Black History Month, always a favorite.
