I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Jim and sons. Had to replace my transmission in a newer Subaru. The original quote I received at another shop was 3 times more expensive than what Jim and sons was able to do it for. Throughout the entire process they were in constant communication with me and could not have been nicer. I will never go anywhere else and if anyone in my life needs anything transmission or driveline related I will only recommend Jim and sons. Thank you for an amazing customer experience and tremendous work performed. My vehicle has never been better. Heidi thank you for the updates throughout this process you are a joy to speak with.

They scheduled my van for repair and it was completed exactly when when they told me it would be. They even sent me a thank you letter for my business. What auto repair shop does that other than Jim & Sons? Awesome to do business with! Thank you!

If I could give 10 starts I would. Thought I had a transmission issue, they diagnosed it as a low oil pump problem. Only charged me for 30 minutes instead of full hour diagnostic. I will trust this business will all my company vehicles.

Heidi and Wayne are INCREDIBLE! Hands down the BEST shop in Stark county. I had my classic GMC JIMMY at Waterloo transmission and was told that it needed a complete rebuild but after 3 days they still couldn't give me an estimate until they removed my transmission and sent it off. I called and Heidi had me bring it in later that week. I dropped it off at 8am and it was fixed by 2: 30 no rebuild needed just a bad Vacuum hose. They saved me thousands of dollars! Great to know there are still HONEST DEPENDABLE shops out there. I can not recommend them enough! THANK YOU!

Can’t say enough of their service today. For one, they picked me up at the house and dropped me off, no questions asked, “we’ll be right there”. I was beyond impressed with the communication before and while they had my 1965 Mustang. They called and texted to explain what they recommended before they did the work. Dropped the car off the night before for a c4 transmission leak and the had the car fixed and back to me by 11 the next day. Great to see a local company have such service and pride in their work. Had a chevy 2500 pickup with 30000 miles on it and the transmission went out, i was like how is this even possible.called jim and sons and made an appointment for a friday, the wrecker dropped it off on thursday, i got a text it was there, i got a call friday with a diagnosis, an explanation of what the fix would b, a price and a timeline of a week, then a few more texts about the progress.it was ready to pickup on the following thursday afternoon.the price was the price quoted and the truck is shifting perfectly.i could not be happier.they treat you like family.would not want to go anywhere else for my transmission work!

Car seems to be doing great after about 675 miles, and they even notified me of an unrelated issue (valve cover gaskets) that is now getting fixed. Definitely a good shop, and trustworthy. I’ll be going back to have the transmission fluid replaced when the time comes.

Provided a thorough examination of our vehicle, and got us fixed up quickly, at a fair price, and were very friendly while doing it. Absolutely the best.

Jim and Sons was recommended for transmission service by our local trusted garage. My 2007 Ford Sport Trac was not shifting well for some time and started to shift very roughly at 140,000 miles. Wayne gave me a very good idea of what it might require to repair or rebuild the transmission. Heidi and Wayne are both good communicators and keep you in the loop during the work. Car is now back and performs absolutely fine. Good value and even a rebuild transmission warrantee of 2 years/24.000 miles.
