Jim's Tire & Service reviews
20The daughter-in-law had a flat tire. I took it to Jim's for repair, service was fast, and work was well done! Price was reasonable. Found a piece of metal in the tire removed and plugged. Remounted the tire.
Great place. I have a hard to find tire and Mark called around and got my tire. I live 2 hours away and just happened to stop in the way back from a road trip. Definitely will come back again for tires.
I love going here! As a women I get treated very well and fair. Everyone is so friendly and they have the best prices! This will be my first pick always.
Jim's Tire & Service has a reasonable price for tire repair. Quick and friendly service.
I called other places that could not get me in for a slow leak in my tire. I just pulled up and they said park out back and they would check it out. The guys were real friendly and let me come back and see what was going on. I had a nail in my tire, they took it out and patched it all within half an hour. And only charged $20, I was impressed and grateful, they did a great job
If I could, I would give this joke of a tire shop zero stars. My husband took his truck to this so called tire shop to have his new tires put on and the valve stems replaced. And the employee who did it was paid to do a service that he didn't do. He took the old rubber off the rims and put the new on, and then was supposed to replace the old valve stems with new. Which he didn't do and when my husband picked up the truck, he was lied to and told that everything he paid for had been done. The next day he came outside and noticed that one of his brand new tires was flat. So he took the truck back to the shop and the same guy " checked" and said he fixed it. Later that afternoon my husband was washing his truck and noticed bubbles coming out from around the "replaced" valve stems. Which if they had been replaced there shouldn't have been any air. So instead of taking the truck back to this incompetent shop, he took it to Boisels and they showed him that the valve stems were NEVER replaced. So if you have new tires that you want put on your vehicle, take it to Boisels or someone else. Jim's Tire and Service is nothing but a joke and the employees are too busy going down the alley to the bar next door and drinking instead of actually doing their job.
Prices have gone up extremely but the customer service always keeps you on your toes they always make you laugh and feel comfortable!
Had the tire size I needed but sold me a tire with a hole in it so I wasted my money with them to still have to go order a whole new tire. Be careful of what you purchase from them so you don't end up like me.
I had a bad tire and drove from Urbana to get it fixed because they had the best deal on tire repair. I was going to go to Tire Choice on Urbana, but they wanted to charge thirty-one dollars. Jim's only asked for fifteen.
Well, I ended up needing a better tire. They charged us eighty-one dollars for a like new tire which I was happy with.
An employee named Tim helped us.
He was very helpful and fast.
I would suggest going here for a good deal.
My only concerns were that the employees weren't wearing masks, and there was country music playing the entire time we were there, but I can get over that.
I now have a safe tire to drive on.
I stopped in today and got new tires for my daughters vehicle. Absolutely appreciate these guys. Great prices and fast friendly professional service. Highly recommend. Thank you!
There were super awesome nice friendly they got my car fixed in a hurry and I'm going to continue going back thereThey were super awesome nice
Slow as hell, just ignored me and started serving other customers. 40min to change 1 tire. 60 bucks.
Well I took my rim in to have a new tire put on an they bent my rim an then proceed to tell me they didn't do it witch is not the case because it wasn't bent when I took it in there.the workers are not polite an very rude
It's hard to find good service, fair prices, and someone who will stand behind their work.
Jim Payton does everyday on the corner of Belmont and Lagonda.
I pulled in here with a large dump truck. I needed air in 1 tire. 2 gentlemen walked out as soon as I got there. Told them what was going on. One put air in my tire. And also checked the rest. Absolutely wouldn't take any money.
Crooks! Was told the tire I purchased had a 60 day warranty. When the tire started losing air 3 weeks later I took it in to them. They explained that since I had driven on it while flat they would not honor the warranty. The tire was never driven on while flat. When I explained that I had not driven on it while flat the guy started dropping F bombs and basically started calling me a liar. They wanted more money, but would "cut me a good deal". I declined which brought more F bombs. I will never go back and highly recommend nobody else go there either!
Treated wonderfully. Tc and other employee made sure I had a seat in a warm office and checked my tires. I will go there in future.
The only place I'll buy tires! The guys are so nice and the hospitality was an added bonus. They always offer drinks to the waiting customer and let you know everything.
A used tires for what you can buy a new one for. Then they don't even offer to change valve stem. Imagine my surprise when I come back out to vehicle once I get home to a completely flat tire with valve stem leak. Last time I go there
Great service good conversation.he was very busy and very apologizing that had to wait due to him being the only one there.cheapest place i found in town greeted with a hand shake and smile.ill be going back
