J.K.Kang's Taekwondo Center, North Olmsted OH

My son has been practicing at J. K. Kang's Taekwondo Center for close to 6 maybe 7 years now, and my daughter for close to 3 years. The management and the care of the teachers have been amazing. I thought once my son reaches black belt, he will be done. Little that I know, he not only wants to continue, but he is asking me if he can stay extra. Recently with the pandemic and everything closing, they found an alternative and encouraged my kids not to give up and continue their training. The teachers get to know the kids personally, and approach each child based on what the child needs, and I can't say enough about Master David and how grateful I am for him getting to know my kids, spend time getting to know each of their personalities, which cannot be any more different of each other, and approach them with different tactics.

Hands down, J. K. Kang's is the BEST Tae Kwon Do school in our area! I am a former student of Grandmaster Kang, and earned my first degree black belt in the '90s. Fast forward 20 some years and now all 6 of my children are students at J. K. Kang's (ages 3 - 11) and we now have 1 second degree black belt, 4 first degree black belts, and two in training! We have been at J. K. Kang's for over 5 years now because it is phenomenal. J. K. Kang's has national competitors that are highly trained by Master David and the school is driven on a foundation of integrity, honesty, discipline, and respect. My children are able to physically train, and have become and continue to be stronger, more flexible, and more agile. The mental training is also a key component at J. K. Kang's and stems from learning, memorizing and mastering terminology, formation, self-defense moves, one-step sparring, and more. Master David is not only one of the best instructors around, but he sincerely cares for all of his students. He knows each student, as if that was his only student. I highly recommend J. K. Kang's Taekwondo Center! Since March, they have had and continue to have remote classes out of concern for their students' safety and well being. Thank you J. K. Kang's for all you do for our family!

I have participated in the kickboxing class here for over a year with great results. I have always received helpful instruction and learned many great fighting techniques. I highly recommend!

My son is a student at J. K. Kangs, I think Master David is great with the students, he knows what each students abilities are and gets the most out of each student. It’s not just about teaching Taekwondo, Master David and his staff also teach valuable life lessons helping the students become healthy and successful in life. We often practice these life lessons at home. I can’t believe how many times people have told me, my kids went there and my grandkids went there, and they all had good things to say about J. K. Kangs. My wife and I are both happy with our decision to send our son to J. K. Kangs. We have seen our son develop both personally and in his Taekwondo skill set.

I’ve been training Muay Thai at J. K. Kangs for almost 6 years. I started at Kang’s because I wanted to learn kickboxing, become more physically fit, and lose some extra pounds. I love that they teach traditional Muay Thai. Master David is the perfect instructor. He cares if you are doing movements correctly. He has a high level of concern that everyone is exercising safely to avoid injury. Above all class is structured and respectful, but we also have a lot of fun.they have taken precautions that go above and beyond in regards to Covid. I feel very safe continuing to attend class. I highly recommend this facility!

My son has been taking classes at J. K. Kangs for the last year and a half. We are very pleased with the professionalism and quality of instruction he is receiving. Master David and his staff are excellent with the students, they make the classes fun and foster an environment that makes the students want to learn. The students are also taught valuable life lessons such as how to be a good student in school. What it means to be a contributing member in their family. What it means to be thoughtful and think of others to name just a few. I am very happy that we chose J. K. Kangs over the other schools in the area.

My daughter has taken lessons here for over three years. We live in Parma and drive her there twice a week, every week because of the quality instruction they provide. She gets not only great training, but also life lessons she can use long after her training is over. Master David takes their training very seriously and balances strict instruction with a fun environment extremely effectively. If you are looking for a school that will hand your child a black belt without them earning it or putting any effort into it, you’re probably better off looking elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a place your kids can get quality instruction, learn respect, develop discipline and earn something they can be proud of, there’s no other place I would recommend.

Master Dave, Sami and entire staff are amazing. They are patient with kids but at the same time show them proper discipline. My daughter has been with them for a year now and she loves it. They are doing an awesome job with sanitizing everything before and after class, wearing face masks, online classes and social distancing in these crazy times. Thank you to everyone at JK Kang.
