Johnny J's Pub & Grille, Strongsville reviews
21A nice family-stye sports bar. Food is decent and the service great, just nothing to make it stand out from the other local sports bars, of which there are legion. Still a safe choice if you're looking for a meal.
Place smells like the urinals. Put something in the urinals to mask the nasty smell that is permeating through the whole establishment! Also, tell your DJ's to play some new music. All they ever play is 90's stufg.
Great place to eat! Waitress was very friendly! Got food and drinks with no issues! Food was warm and delicious!
A group of friends meet here often. Variety of quality food is offered. Service is usually good as well. I always pay with CC to get my Southwest Airlines points and tip at least 20% in cash if service is decent. Found it interesting that the hand carry machine the server processed my card on had pre populated tips of 20%, 22% and 25%. From the total bill, including tax! Some of my friends tip 15%, where is that option? Food prices have gone up, so did the servers tip! Also, why would the tip be calculated including tax? Gratuities are for service on food & drink, not tax!
The Irish Egg Rolls are awesome! The wings are great but they charged me $10 for a Holly Jolly beer which I was shocked by. I've never been charged that for a xmas ale.even different types of restaurants. I will return because it's a fun place to go and great food, and wonderful service! I'll drink another beer instead. But I like it here.
Great food, okay vegetarian options, and decent service. Downside is going on the weekends it is very loud and sometimes crowded.
This one and the one medina are pretty consistent.nice place for a bar bite and a couple drinks!
Last time I went for dine-in and the food was pretty good, well presented, and fresh.
Unfortunately tonight for my to-go order it was not as good. The burger I got was bland and tasted like it was microwaved, the fries were cold, and the Mac and cheese tasted very watered down. I am a bit disappointed.
I would say only dine-in if you are going to eat here.
First time there we ordered the wings and we got waffle fries the waffle fries were so hard we couldn't eat them I'm sorry to say the chicken was the same even though it tastes good for what chicken that you got off the bone but I'm sorry to say that we will never be back the bill was $50 plus a tip not worth it
Great service. Tap was flat on the last beer of the night but all and all good. Sampler platter was small portions.
Great place to grab an app and a beer. Superb beer selection and generous appetizers. The beer cheese was insane definitely recommend and you won't need extra cheese they give you plenty.
Good Bar Food Overall! Good Size Location and nice size patio.
If you looking for overall good food or to have some drinks this is a good place to try. They are open and serving still till 2am on weekends!
Nice place, Service was great, chicken wrap was good but definitely needed more chicken, 1/2 had only 3 small bite sized pieces, tots were cooked well, would try it again
This is the slowest place I have ever eaten. An hour and twenty min for cold chicken fingers. We couldn't even get a refill.
We've had Johnny J's twice. Earlier this year, we had their all you can eat fish, which was fantastic. Most recently, we ordered steak salad and wings through DoorDash. The steak was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the wings tasted so good!
This was our 2nd time there. First time I had a burger and it was great. Second time I ordered the beer battered fish.would not recommend. Stick with the burgers. Service was great both visits with inside and outside dining.
Service was good. Server was new and she tol the time to ask someone when she didn't know an answer. Food was very good. Everything was hot when it arrived. Hamburger was slightly.overcooked from medium to more well done. Potato cakes.with corned beef are delicious.
My wife and I appreciate the quality of the food and service we receive. Each and every time we have been here. Thank you
Just wanted some honey mustard wings tn and they are unseasoned and just barely have sauce. Would advise you go literally anywhere else.
We just wanted to stop somewhere to get a quick meal at 9 pm. The guy at the door said my son had to be 21 so he refused to seat us. We left but noticed outside on the patio that 2 tables had grade school age children, probably no more than 12-years old. I went back in and asked that same employee why young kids are here eating but we were refused service when my son is almost 18. He rolls his head (rude and unprofessional) and said, "I could ask my manager if you want. " Clearly, we were an inconvenience so I said we'd go somewhere else. We had a great meal and professional service at Don's Pomeroy House instead with no issue. Needless to say, no more Johnny J's for us. You better apply your rules to all instead of randomly discriminating against customers.
