I don’t recommend this firm not only because my attorney Ryan did not fight for me, but also because of the blatant lies and deception by him and this firm. When first speaking to Ryan it was the good old “ I don’t need the money so if you don’t hire me, no big deal “ shpeel. Following that he told me whatever funds not used out of the $2500 retainer would be refunded. Well after showing up for an hour in court twice I was told by Angie Joslyn, the owner I presume, that I was misunderstood and her attorney “rightfully” earned his commission. Bottom line is subpar representation followed by deceptive practices equals way too many other good law firms to choose from. Choose wisely.

Tamas Tabor is a amazing attorney. From my initial conversation until we went to court. He was on his game. I can't thank everyone at Joslyn Law Firm enough for getting my case over with as quick as they did. Money well spent!

I think I can just boil it down to say Tamas Tabor and his office was simply amazing. I can't imagine how many cases they process, but I felt like I was their only client. This was an incredibly stressful experience and I can't say enough how responsive Tamas and staff were. I asked a question of the owner when my case started before I retained them. I asked something like "I've never done this, are you the right firm? " I was assured I did, and I was paired with an attorney that knew my case and the nuances of my geographical location. Hire them if you need help. Period. Tamas knew the law and unfortunately court cases are not a cut and dried thing. It's a game in many ways and this guys knows how to play it for the best representation you can get. The first conversation was not about what happened but my constitutional rights as a citizen. I could go on and on but I guess I'll end it here. Oh, and not a footnote at all, but Tia in the Joselyn office is 100% aces. Response time was always same day, as she seemed to understand the simplest of questions were of paramount stress level. I really hope to never need an attorney again, but if I do I know where I'm going. Call them.

For someone who has never been into any sort of legal problems before in his life, being accused of Domestic Violence with four charges was the most traumatic feeling ever. To counter the allegations levelled against me, i had one option left that was to get the best legal help available and there is no one who can beat the expert team of Joslyn Law Firm in this regard. They know the process. I was honest to Attorney Tamas Tabor and his paralegal Jennifer and trusted them to take me out of trouble. They guided me through all the steps and Mr. Tamas was present to represent me at every hearing in the court. This shows how important every client is to them. After a year and a half of legal battle, the case against me was dismissed with all charges being dropped by the prosecutor office. I was ultimately granted expungement as well. My son turned 18 and two weeks later was accused of a crime. I chose this law firm after reading reviews, so thought it best to be candid with mine. Based on reviews it seems questions get answered. I’m left to wonder if that depends on who you are and how they feel about you personally rather than if you paid the same bill everyone else did.

At the beginning of the process I was adamant to clear my sons name and was encouraged by the attorney to get any information I could. The police did zero investigating so as advised I did. I rode around, looked for cameras, talked to people, and ultimately found 2 independent witnesses that confirmed my sons story. There was no effort to utilize these witnesses even after I was told they could be subpoenaed. If there was an effort, it was not communicated to us. Instead we were asked to pay an additional $500 for an investigator who did absolutely nothing. In fact, she never contacted us. We were asked by the attorney several times had we heard from her and the answer was always no. When we asked had he received an update or information from her the answer was always no. I talked to two people who saw the entire incident play out confirming my sons story, and who confirmed not a single police officer attempted to investigate what actually happened. We went from being excited about this to having an investigator who did nothing and a lawyer who didn’t seem interested in knowing why when he is the one who told us to pay her. I’m still bothered by this and can’t help but wonder if the outcome could have been different for my son has more been done to utilize these witnesses.

This was a very stressful and scary time. Every time I had a question or wanted an update I was made to feel I was being a pest. At one point, in the middle of “ investigation” and court date approaching, I was seemingly being ignored with questions going unanswered, come to find out the attorney was on vacation and out of the country. I still don’t understand why this wasn’t shared with us (so that I knew not to call or text), instead I was left to feel like I shouldn’t have been calling or texting. It was at or around this time we switched attorneys. The switch was not at my request, which further leads me to believe my expectation of communication (per initial conversation with Brian) throughout the process was pestering to the first attorney.

I am not sure how much effort was put in to trying to free my son of charges. Due to everything that had already transpired with the investigation and witnesses, my son had no faith that he could possibly win at trial. He took a deal. Albeit a wonderful deal, I can’t help but wonder how things could have been.

Fast forward to now. I can’t get a reply from Bess or Brian on a serious matter they know they left my son hanging on that was based on a decision my son made due to Brian’s recommendation. I also can’t get an answer on if my sons charge can be expunged when I think in the beginning we were told it could be and that they’d help. These are serious and important questions as far as I am concerned. I’ve sent several emails over several months trying to get help with these two things. All my attempts have been ignored.

It seems I paid the same tab, but don’t get the same pristine level of care, communication, and response to questions as those in the other reviews. Reviews I counted on to help me make the decision on this law firm. So, I felt it important to share for the next person who may be like me and looking at reviews to help guide their decision.

I’d like to note that Mrs. Joslyn is a God send. She was sweet, kind, and great with communication. If my review was only on her and the billing process it’d be a 5 star.

Attorney Ryan Shafer was able to get my case completely dismissed. Paralegal Mackenzie Burse was always helpful and very professional!
