I help families with placement in the Columbus area and I would like to say, Leann's communication is great! She really cares about the families she works with and is always so attentive and quick to respond. It's very appreciated as it allows me to work seamlessly and quickly for my clients as well! Thank you Leann and keep up the great work!

Kensington is a great asset fir the Columbus community. My father has been a resident there for 5 years now. The staff is friendly and caring. The services are some of the best.

I liked the facility but I felt that the hallways were a little too narrow for wheelchairs to pass each other.

We were referred here by a community outreach liaison who disclosed that my mother has ALS. Upon meeting the director, she was misleading of what Kensington could provide for my parents, which left me disappointed beyond words.

We reiterated when we initially met the staff that my mother has ALS. I'm not sure what part of that she did not understand, but I was informed throughout the visit that she would be able to "stay in place" throughout her journey and that she could stay with my Dad in the apartment.

I was told in our final discussion that they were short of staff to adequately provide for her, and that they would re-evaluate her at a much later date. I'm not sure how much better my mother would be at that point due to the fact that ALS does not work that way. With the level of experience Leann claimed to possess, she should know that.

Really, if Leeann had been upfront with her decision not to take my parents, then this posting would be different. I wonder if it truly is the staffing? Is it that they had another resident that might be "easier" wanting the space? Why wasn't Grace Care offered? This is my mother.not a number.

I just hope my deposit is not cashed:/

My parents lived here for a while a couple of years ago. I was familiar with Kensington Place before they moved in because I knew people who lived there. It’s a nice community of friendly people. Unfortunately, my friends tell me that the meals have gone downhill since then. Much of the food is processed and high in sodium, which is not healthy for anyone let alone older folks. It’s a real shame because the residents are great and there are some really nice apartments.

I am an 87 year old single male who has been a resident of Kensington Place over a year. While shopping for an assisted living community, I felt the sense of community as soon as I entered the front door. The staff is warm and caring, very professional, the residents are welcoming and friendly. My apartment is spacious and comfortable. The dining room serves nutritious delicious meals from a varied daily menu. I feel fortunate and I am very happy to live here

I am the Fitness Manager at Kensington Place and love helping seniors with mobility, balance, strength and flexibility. Kensington is a caring and vibrant community. We have a very nice SeniorFit Center with trainers to supervise and help you to get set up on personalized program. Take a tour and stop in to see all the great equipment in SeniorFit.

When my mother needed respite care, Cathy and her team were so very helpful in getting her into a safe place at Kensignton so she could recover from her nursing home stay. The nursing team helped coordinate a high level of care in the early days. Now that my mother has moved in as a regular resident, the team are working with her to find a balance in doing what she can independently and helping her with things she cannot do. The communication between our family and the staff is good.

The apartments are very nice, lots of storage, and the residents and staff have been so welcoming. The front desk team is always welcoming when I drop things off. Denise, Becky, and Gail and many others make it a happy place. It's a relief to know that my mother has safely been surrounded by people and has still had an opportunity to do activities and have face to face conversations during Covid. Our family looks forward to being able to spend time with her at Kensington once the Pandemic is over.

Kensington Place & LSS is operated by a very caring and helpful Board of Directors. There were some issues with the billing of my grandmother’s account and when the board was made aware of the issue they helped to solve it within a very short amount of time. They were very helpful and understanding. The residents are considered a part of the Kensington family and they still maintain connections with my grandmother even though she had to relocate to a different facility.
