KeyBank State Theatre reviews
15Can't go wrong with a day at the theatre! The parking in the back is so convenient, especially on a day like we had where there was a baseball game going on at the same time. The volunteers in the red coats are absolutely wonderful people and so helpful! I wish they'd go back to no food and drink in the theaters though - crunching wrappers are distracting! Such a nice time though!
Well organized, beautiful theatre, elegant evening without spending a fortune. Excellent plays. All seats are wonderful.
Seats are entirely too close together even for slim guests and no leg room for anybody over 5'6''. One gentleman in our group was unable to sit in his seat and had to stand in stairwells for the whole concert. This isn't the first time I experienced this at this venue. Last year I was seated next to a really heavyset young lady and I almost had to sit in my dates lap. It was ridiculous. She eventually had to get up and move
Too cold. Tier seating is off - still can't see over heads. No warm drinks. Newly refurbished but still not enough for 5 stars in seating which was a part of the original problem.
I've seen a movie and two music shows in this theater. It's a little smaller that the Connor, but that makes it seem more intimate. There really are no bad seats.
Was here October 11th, with my girlfriend to see Jerry Seinfeld and had a great time. It's a very beautiful theater and the users are very good at getting people in and out in an efficient manner. Seating is a little tight though.
One downtowns most valuable assets! Thanks for existing. Constantly providing world-class entertainment to our little city!
It has been updated n a great historical sight. Sound system good. Volunteers great. Bathrooms a challenge but they work n are clean.
Yes, it's beautiful which gets it two stars but the seats are absolutely horrendous. Was just there for Nick Offerman & he's about the only person I would suffer for sitting in that theater. They are so compact, it's ridiculous. We have had first row seats up in the mezzanine which offered a tiny bit more of legroom through the rails but the seats are SO CLOSE to one another, it's awkward & painful. The next morning I was sore AF.
WONDERFUL as always! I see productions here, NYC, and Toronto.but at the State the colors of the costumes just seem to "pop"! I truly enjoy visiting this Theatre District! Thanks! Keep up the good work!
Love Clevelands down town Theater district's State theate. Here for Simon and Garfunkel.
Lots of folk here for old times sake. Most are showing a little gray.
Why not come down for a performance. When you do tell them Joe sent you.they will say Joe Who.that's me.
Cleveland's Playhouse Square is a jewel. From the exceptional shows to the amazing staff and volunteers, it is truly an experience for everyone.
Oh my gosh! If you love old buildings, this place is amazing. The architecture is to die for. Beautiful trim, beautiful lighting and great sound system. We saw the lion king play when there. It was in a class of its own.
I'm handicapped and rely on a wheelchair. When I bought my tickets, I did not see an option to buy handicap seats. So my guest and I went to the concert, and unbeknownst to me, our tickets were for seats in the balcony section. Long story short, the usher taking tickets took note of the problem & contacted the manager and he sat us in the handicap accessible section. Grade A top notch service
The stage team clearly know what they're doing because it was a great show!
