King Wah, Rocky River OH

With my family we frequent this establishment to our delight due to quality of the food.
Xmas visit was no different.
How there were two things which lowered my rating:
1. Gentleman who was sitting arriving guests was also taking phone orders which created bunching of guests at the doors and wait time for sitting even thought there were plenty of free tables.
2. Holiday menu; not only limited choice but price gauging almost 100% - portion of orange chicken $20! WOW.
Oh - bonus: waitstaff was specifically asking for tips in cash - which makes me believe that they are either added to the paycheck or there is some other scheme where tips are not being paid in full.

As much as this is/was my fav spot for Chinese food, I’ll think before I’ll return there.

Great food. Terrible customer service. The owner answering the phone is always so rude. Makes them hard to give business to.

My family of ten just got home from eating at this amazing restaurant. It was my wife, son and my first time eating here. The food was excellent and they accommodated very well for our large last minute party. Best Chinese I have had in years.

Decided to try again and my food was great. As for the ppl I went with they were not to happy with their food

First time there and my food was spot on. Took home half and waitress gave me extra gravy to go. Will return.

Sadly, the food has declined. They must have changed recipes and or ingredients. We spent 92.00 on basically salt, grease and chewy beef, pork and spongy chicken. We took one bite of each dish and spit it out. Even though we barely consumed any of what we ordered.all of us can still not get the greasy and salty taste out of our mouth. Awful and sad. Used to be good food.

This place has been here for as long as I can remember and I never went until recently. Let me tell you, what an experience!

All the staff I have experienced has been beyond amazing.

Anything I have eaten so far has not let me down. The food is great!

Disappointed. Food was practically floating in nondescript sauces that could not be identified by taste. Some entrees were excessively salty.

Visiting my son a month ago in Lakewood, we tried this place and loved it. We were so impressed, four of us went back again on Thursday. The restaurant is clean, and we were seated right away. I wish I could remember our servers name, she was so on top of things. We started with crab rangoon and teriyaki beef sticks. Both were amazing, we will get them again. My son got Sezchuan Peppercorn Chicken, and says it was out of this world. His wife kept eating off of his plate. My daughter-in-law got Crispy Honey beef and loved it. My husband got the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. He says it was perfect and delicious. I got the Mongolian beef (like I did a month earlier) and loved it. The Mongolian Beef had plenty of beef in it, and the dark sauce it came in was delicious, with lots of onion and green pepper. All of us would recommend our dishes to you. I ordered a pork fried rice to-go so we could make pork fried rice/scrambled eggs the next morning for breakfast (which is mind blowing with a little soy added). We got three cokes with the meal, and it ended up costing $120. Totally worth it! The portions were large, the service was top notch. The manager (I assume he was) came over and talked to us briefly, and he was a delight as well. We will come here again the next time I visit Lakewood.

They were able to easily accommodate our party of ten. The food was excellent as was the service.

Great food and awesome service. We had a party of 8, and the service we received was 5 stars. Will be back for many more birthdays! The owner was very involved, which made the experience that much better. Thank you so much for making our experience so memorable.

They apparently use MSG. My wife and I were extremely sick with MSG symptoms. Increased heart rate skin flush and stomach distress.

Best Chinese food in Cleveland, hands down. Be sure to a have a mai tai at the bar while you wait for your food.

King Wah is absolutely amazing. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and well decorated. Lunch buffet during the week is a great bargain for a good meal. Probably the best egg rolls I’ve ever had with really great spicy mustard. My go to dish is Sesame chicken with white rice, it’s wonderful!

After another delicious meal, I felt compelled to show my gratitude in some way. So, here goes… Thank you to Connie and her team for decades of incredible food and great service! We are so lucky to have this great establishment in our community.

Main owner/hostess Connie makes the biggest mistake when taking phone orders. She doesn't repeat back your order while she is trying to multi-task 3 other issues and ends up not getting what you ordered correct. It's a 50/50 here. The food is great. But the order taking and travel time back to get what your originally asked for yet did not get written down are a constant. Time to move on to reliability.

Worse place ever if i could give no stars i would my order was wrong the lunch deal didn't come with anything but white rice and I ordered chicken and got all pork do not go here ever! I would never recommend, not even to my worst enemy

This was our first time here. Cute restaurant, kind of dark though. Our food was good, had a few pieces of shrimp not cooked all the way but other than that it was good. Their prices are a bit higher than others also. Our waitress was really good & checked on us often to make sure things were good.

Would like to give a positive review, but for carry-out, unless you ask that the chicken not be over-cooked and tough, it will be.
