What an honest shame. I am literally one of the first people who visited this location when it opened. I had a friend invite me along to visit my favorite store to find hidden treasure. That WAS Krazy Bins in Mentor. When invited along, I was actually excited. I now post this review after leaving disheartened and disappointed.

I once had written a 5-star review, but after this visit, I saw the owners' responses here and everywhere. (Facebook, TikTok, Google, etc.) I've decided to remove my review.

Upon arriving today, I was first impressed as things appeared more organized. It had been six months since my last visit. Excited to get digging, I became intrigued at the new style and saw price labels on all items. It would seem the thing I loved most, being the variable prices by day.were no longer. Instead, the pricing model of "50-70% off retail" was the new shtick.

You see, this really doesn't work though, as most items here are items that either didn't sell, or were returned at stores like target. So it's basically previously discounted Target merchandise, something the company regularly touts on social media. The issue is that some of these items I have seen cheaper at Target, or even on Amazon brand new cheaper with warranties and everything intact. Some items still had old target prices labeled on them that were lower.

Seeing this, the wonder and excitement quickly faded. It seems like management made a bad decision or just got greedy. I left empty-handed for the first time.ever. My favorite shopping "treat" is no longer.

I quickly checked the site to see if it was really the way things were, and it would seem so. Looks like the only store using the old way is Parma. I doubt I'd actually commit to go there out of risking further disappointment.

To top it off, the boxes of furniture used to actually have pictures of what it was, now it's just manufacturer boxes with limited information, and if course you can not open the boxes.

Reading the reviews made me more sick, passive-aggressive responses from the owner even telling people to remove negative reviews to avoid "being the reason the store closes". Shame on you, capitalism works both ways, and the people are deciding what they want. The reviews will continue to grow and show. You've changed the way it works and subsequently alienated your customer base.

Also, the rodent feces in reviews is a huge thing that will end my involvement with this company.

It's really a shame too. It used to be fun.

I have been coming to this Krazy Bins for several years while driving the 2 hours from PA to visit as a fun time with friends who are locals.
It used to be a good time with friends to see what we could find and just to have fun.
It is now just a rip-off of a markdown/clearance store.
No more good deals to be found as most things can be found for the same price or cheaper elsewhere.
I've never been more disappointed and dissatisfied than when leaving this location earlier today.
It's a horrible shame that terrible management has ruined this fun concept.

My advice:
Spend your time and money elsewhere.

I feel utterly betrayed.

Krazy Bins, a store that previously I quite enjoyed, has recently fallen under the curse of extreme mismanagement. The entire premise of Krazy Bins, of course, is the bins. Prior to recent policy, there was a set schedule in which the plethora of whimsical miscellaneous objects would be priced based on the day of the week. For example, the prices varied from roughly $15 items all the way down to $1 items based on the day. Additionally, the bins were always in chaotic disarray, and one of the many pleasures of shopping at the store was sifting through the piles of goods to try and find treasures at a good bargain. This premise seemed to be very popular, and it was possible to find things at very good prices. I personally enjoyed the trips to Krazy Bins with my friends, as it was always exciting sifting through the bins, trying to find fun things.

Unfortunately, much to my disappointment, a recent policy change at this store has left a very poor taste in my mouth. No longer is the premise the store was founded on true. Meaning, the bins are no longer krazy. I do not know when this came about, but now every single object except for bulk clothes in the bins is pre-priced, and to such a degree that I would rather take my chances with other discount item stores. The entire idea that made Krazy Bins special and charming is gone. There is no whimsy, there is no soul, there is barely any bargain, and there is no reason to support this business that is clearly out of touch with its customer base.

If I were the owner, I would take some time to reflect on why people seem upset with the sudden change in operation of your store, and I would seriously reconsider your choice in policy, because this is an extremely out of touch business decision, and It is such a shame seeing what was once a lovely store fall apart. If things change and the store goes back to how it once was, I will remove this review, but until then, steer clear.

Before visiting this location I was quite excited about the potential deals I may stumble across in the store. It was a place a lot of people native to the area hype up. However, upon visiting I have to say I was quite disappointed. A lot of the advertising for Krazy Bins is focused on the pricing structure of the Parma location which is what I was mainly looking forward to. Moving to the Cleveland area from Wooster I was hoping to see something similar to what a business called Dollar1 in Wooster offered. While I understand that the different locations price things differently, I just cannot see why. I wouldn't have been disappointed at the way this location as well as the other non-parma store prices things if it wasn't for the fact that the store just felt like the discount isle at a big box store. Why go out of your way to come here when I can get the same experience at Walmart or target? If the big box stores couldn't get rid of the products you guys sell in the first place I would start the pricing at something that at least competes with the clearance price of the big store. Going through other reviews states that other customers feel the same way. What almost angers me though is the snarky responses of the owner of this business to bad reviews. I know as a small business it is extra important to take criticism appropriately to maintain your customer base. Until this business takes a step back and overhauls how it is ran I will not be returning or recommending this business to other potential customers.

Mentor use to be the best Krazy Bins I would spend hundreds of dollars in merchandise.
They have destroyed this store. You can go to Target and get some of the things cheaper on sale. I use to never leave without something. The last 5 times I have been there we have left emptied handed. Very sad they will put this location out of business. With new bin stores popping up everywhere this concept will not last.

Really poor prices now, difficult to find anything of interest that I couldn't find cheaper on amazon

Prices at one time used to be reasonable. Selling for above the clearance prices listed for damaged and expired items. They are out of their minds. There is nothing in the store that can’t be found for less money with little to no effort, new and undamaged.

Why does your owner respond in such a douche bag way to criticism? Anytime they get a bad review the owner responds in a childish way. People would rather see you succeed while getting a good deal, improve yourself bro. The mentor store used to be enjoyable, truly great deals if you found some awesome items. Now, its organized and bland which is awesome for the "normal" business. But the concept everyone got behind in the beginning was the disorganized bin filled with hidden gems. Unless its changed back, I wouldnt recommend going anytime soon.

This is what you will find at the Mentor location rodent droppings. Ive been doing Pest Control for 4 years and if the health department knew about this they would no longer have their business license. Owner is also stuck up and cannot take constructive criticism instead he makes smart remarks or will just block you. Childish company, Beware you might have rodent feces in your purchases

Great store with insanely low prices. If you need household items like furniture or decor, check here before you go to the big box stores.

Tried coming here twice, called both times and says it’s open. Get here and they’re closed. Out of business?

Reply to the owners response:
Is this how you speak to new customers? ! I don’t follow you or receive your emails because I’ve never been to your store and don’t have a reason to. Your poor communication skills will be what puts you out of business. Won’t be shopping here now.

Great deals but if you have ever been there you know the name is spot on. I don’t blame the company that the bins become so chaotic that’s strictly on the customers. Great service if you ask they won’t go out of their way though.

Used to be amazing. Prices have been inching up- rugs started at $10, then went to $20, now $40 for the same rugs. Friday was $10 day and it’s now $13. I went in on a Friday and saw a pack of 2 water bottles. Went the next day (previously $5 day- now $8 day) and the same water bottles were there but broken apart into two separate items- so essentially the same price as the day before. As the days go on all of the good items are taken off the floor and hidden in the back and all that’s left is broken dirty junk. Sad because when this first opened it was a great store. There are also no returns. The management woman is rude and always cranky. You used to be able to show the price competitors sell the item for and they would at least match it. Now the manager won’t let them change prices- so if a ball for $1 is in the bins on Friday they want $13 dollars for it. Ridiculous.

For 50% off I’ll just go to target and get the item where I know it’s not dirty, used, and or broken where I can also return the item if not satisfied.

This place is an embarrassment. They have beyond horrible customer service- just check out their Facebook reviews and their responses. Treating paying customers like garbage. It’s so immature I can’t believe any business owner would treat customers this way. And if you comment- they will just block you.
The store is disgusting inside. Looks like they’ve never even swept or mopped. I feel dirty after being in there. The outside is an eyesore. Just all around gross and a disrespectful owner. I’d rather pay full price for items than go back here!

Love going to this place. Never know what you'll find but it'll be a bargain! I went right before the start of school and was able to get so many clean, brand new clothes for my kids at half the cost! Love going to just look around. It's also the first place I look if we need a new shelf, desk, table!

This store is the best around! You can’t beat the prices. Why pay full price when you can get it more than 70% off. This place is my addiction!

I love this store. Krazy bins spoiled us. I won’t even buy certain items at stores now. I’ll go to krazy bins instead. We bought 7 pairs of shoes one day and spent only $21.
