Best vet clinic we’ve found. They spent alot of time with us and our dog. The place was clean, staff was knowledgeable and friendly!

This place is a total rip-off! Don't bother! They are a lot more expensive than other vets in the area (which I learned all too late). And they aren't very sympathetic with what you're going through with your beloved babies, which I found out when I had to have my beloved cat euthanized - and then was handed a bill for a stunning $300! No! No! No!

Kroner was the ONLY vet in Athens that would take my rabbit. The vet gave her a through exam and was very kind to me during an emotionally difficult time. She was able to identify the issue and gave me a list of specialist referrals for treatment. The cost for the exam was more than reasonable for seeing an exotic animal. I have another vet for my scaly exotics, but will continue to use Kroner for all my mammalian care. Overall an amazing, caring, and attentive vet office.

They were very accommodating for us to pick up our dogs on Labor Day when the office was closed (someone met us there). Place looked very clean both inside and outside and our dogs seemed to be well taken care of!

Kroner is actually one of the best in the area. We have had multiple “emergencies” over the last few years with our chickens, cats, and dogs and they have always been able to get us in and provide great, affordable care.

I had an emergency visit they handled the visit and all emotional distress, they were able to talk to me about everything and ensure I knew every detail and was fully aware of the recovery. You cannot find more empathetic vet around. This vet will treat you like family.

I used Kroner's services while living in Athens, as unfortunately all the other vets in the area have poor turnaround time for appointments. Kroner is the most expensive option in the area for the same services and medicines, and there was an incident that caused me to never go back.

My dog was having smelly breath and some plaque buildup, so I wanted to get him a dental cleaning. They had me schedule an appointment to have him checked, which I assume was for if he had any additional charges for cavities, gum disease, etc. I waited an hour in the exam room for the Dr, And I told the assistant who came in quickly that my dog doesn't do well with teeth brushing, and we had tried water treatment but that turned out to upset his stomach. When the doctor arrived, she looked in his ears and at his paws, then opened his mouth for all of 2 seconds, then told me they wouldn't do it for him for another year because weren't in bad enough shape, and that I should keep giving him the water additive. For 2 seconds in his mouth and a 1 minute body examination, they charged me $70, I talked with the front desk lady some and she got me down to $50, and I never went there again.

My new vet told me my dogs teeth were bad enough to get a cleaning, and even if there isn't a visible buildup they suggest getting it done wirh his conditions once every one to two years, so you never have to put them under and pay heaps for it. This was about 2 a year ago.

The great advantage of Kroner Animal Care is that this animal hospital has a wealth of resources, which is uncommon for the area. This is not my normal vet, but they were able to get me and my dog in for a surgery that we couldn't get done at our normal vet. While the surgery went great, we ran into lots of billing, scheduling and communication issues leading up to the surgery.

In March 2021 my wonderful dog was hemorraghing in his lungs & I had to have him euthanized. I pleaded with the staff to let me come inside & hold him while he died. I'd had both Covid vaccinations & was wearing double masks. The staff absolutely refused to let me be with my dog as he died - they said I could take him home if I wouldn't comply. How cruel can you possibly be? So my poor, faithful friend had to die with strangers. I will never go back to this practice. How we treat our animal friends is a reflection on how we treat humans. Shame on you.

Try selling you a ton of unnecessary products. They get annoyed at very simple questions that any concerned pet owner would have. Just a money grab. They could care less about you and more importantly your animals. If you want to pay the gouged prices, take the trip to Columbus

Awesome staff. Very friendly. The office visit are kinda high but medicine prices fair. Best thing is I believe that Dr. Ryan was truthful about where my dog could have done blood work for allergies that could have saved saved her life. I had her put to sleep because two other vets in Logan Ohio said there was no blood work that could have been done. I will continue to have Dr Ryan as my fur babies doc.

My dog had a UTI while visiting family and bringing stuff in for a move this spring. My dog has not had many positive experiences at the vets office since his retired several years ago. But he seemed to enjoy the lady vet and the lady vet tech so much that when we do move our dogs will definitely be seeing them regularly. Our dogs are typically large and not very trusting of new people but once they get used to them they are typically fine with them and see him that relaxed with the vet and vet tech says a ton about them and we will definitely be back again once we get moved.

Great service and they always take great care of my animals. It's a little pricey, but I can't really think of a vet that isn't expensive. It's crazy having a dog who does not absolutely hate going to the vet, but for some reason my dog loves it.
