Lake Alma State Park reviews
12Nice State Park. They have a beach, several hiking trails, shelter, playground and kayak rentals. The hiking trails are clearly marked. The lake was beautiful.
1st time staying here this past weekend and it was a really decent campground being so close to home.
Lake Alma is a place where you could do stuff with family and camp and have a good time they have really improved in the past couple of years by adding a place where you can buy drinks rent boats etc if you are going to be in the jackson County or Vinton County area stop by and see the history and progress of this lake
Not our favorite type of State Park, but it is quiet and remote. It seems more and more land is being returned to the Government (seized, acquired, donated, etc) and there seems to not be a lot to some of these parks. I'm sure we will see the release of lands as the State struggles to maintain what we already have.
Priest Family Reunion was held at Lake Alma State Park. The park was perfect. It's was clean, and friendly.
Thank you Ohio!
Very pretty lake. Great walking path. Great camping facilities. Boating, pontoon boating and more. Picnic areas with tables n shelters. Bar b q pits available too.
Great place to take your small kids to have a picnic and play at the park and play in the sand along the water.
Has a great beach area, has campground separate from beach area you can camp with Campers, RVs Motor Homes, Tents etc, great fishing, boats canoes can be rented to fish across the lake. There are many hiking trails it's a great place to have Birthday Parties or family gatherings
Such a beautiful state park! Was here for a geocache, and definitely want to be back for camping and kayaking! While I took a hike around the island I saw some liter. I picked it up as I went through hoping it's not like that all the time. But the view off the island towards land was beautiful it was a nice a little windy day. Would love to learn more about the history of this place. I read a little about the island which was cool.
Very nice. Clean water. It's the first lake where you can see your feet through the water. Still the best place to swim!
What an amazing day! Was visiting family from out of town ad we rented 2 of the little Pontoon boats to go fishing not bad prices either. $50 and hour to rent one. They had a beach area for swimming and some snacks and cold drinks too. The staff was just one guy but he was pretty cool!
