Lake Rat Brewing reviews
11Food was over priced. Portions definitely small for the price. I suggest skipping the nachos. The panini sandwiches were not really panini sandwiches. My son did like his brisket sandwich and the store purchased chips and the choclate chunk cookies were good. My daughter also enjoyed her pretzel with beer cheese. The beer was average. For almost 100 dollars we left disappointed. I will say that the art work on display by local artist was lovely. If we ever go back will try the pizza as it smelled wonderful.
Dropped In to try some brews today. Staff were above and beyond helpful and professional.
Great experience!
Had the spinach and artichoke flatbread pizza from the wood fired oven and it was spectacular.
Bartender was rude and off putting. We came in at 7 and he made sure to tell us they close at 8 and we would have to have an order put in by 730p. Definitely made it seem like we weren't wanted. He then continued to stare at us. When we decided to leave because of how uncomfortable he made us feel. He smiled and said, “ did you change your mind, bud? ” We were on vacation and looking for a nice place to eat dinner in Celina. Ended up going back to Shandy’s again for dinner. We will definitely not be giving Lake Rat brewing our business, now or ever. We plan on coming back for vacation here again and will utilize our other eating options.
What an amazing place to come and visit what a great atmosphere bring the family bring your friends great food good music and even better drinks we love this hidden gem.
Super conflicted.
The good: pizza is good and wings are great
The bad: brisket and pulled pork is super dry
It’s weird to not have servers and to have to order food and drinks separately and pay on two separate tickets. I kind of understand why it was empty at 7pm on a Friday night.
Our group really enjoyed the Lake Rat Brew Juice (IPA), Lake Rat Mercer County (Lager) and Lake Rat Pickin’ Berries (Sour). The sour was excellent, especially for those not big on hop flavors. The Brew Nation Patio is beautiful and there was live music inside on Saturday. We’ll be back! Oh and the wood-fired pizza was delicious. Great crust and lots of cheese.
Passing through from out of state and first time visit. Wood fired pizza was pretty good and the beer selection was also very good. I was able to try about 5 beers that I never had before. Staff was friendly. I will definitely visit again.
Great food, beer and coffee! My husband and I went here 3 times while we were staying in the area over the weekend visiting a friend because we liked it so much. My favorite beer was their own Lake Rat Coffee Ale which I cannot remember the name of. It was super flavorful and delicious, definitely the best coffee ale I've ever had! Also their Brisket sandwich is ridiculously good!
My wife and I have been trying to go around to each place and Celina and review them this summer. I have been slacking with the reviews. We went here about a month ago for lunch and it was good. Nice and quiet and our food came out fast. I had the club sandwich and my wife had a wrap. Both very good. One thing I didn’t like was, you are cleaning up after yourself when you are done. Reminded me of a cafeteria
Nice big unique place, friendly bartender, good pizza. Lots of artwork displayed on walls. Fun and different.
