Communication and getting basic needs met (showers, clean clothes, tidy rooms) is challenging. IF you find the right person, your questions and needs will be taken care of. It has taken me three months to find just those right people. Courtney, empathetic director of admissions with a fun personality, works well beyond her job description until she finds what is needed. Andrew, maintenance, does so much more than fix things. The way he talks with and works with residents is heart warming. Tara, unit manager, works hard with aides and is willing to sit down and talk with you and residents. Norworth could be so much better with a few changes in communication.

Got a message that my mother in law had been moved. Tried to call her phone and couldn't get her so I called the facility.
After calling 4 times in a row and letting it ring until the system finally hung up on me I got an answer. The nurse that answered told me the room that my mother in law was moved to didn't exist.after giving her my mother in laws name 3 times she responded with" I think I know who you are talking about" my mother in law got on the phone and confirmed that the room number (that the nurse told me more than once doesn't exist) was in fact her new room number.
The evening staff at this facility is less than subpar! Incompetent, inconsiderate, unprofessional and down right rude!
The rooms and the entire facility is unkempt and filthy.
I've never had more regrets than placing my family here for care.

This place what can I say, my Mother was released here from O. S. U. East, being tht it’s located in Worthington, I didn’t really think it could’ve tht bad (I used to work in a Nursing home) but they are VERY unprofessional and LAZY! …… Just called up there after having the phone ring MULTIPLE TIMES (having to call back 4x’s) and then hanging up cus of no response, then when finally got a answer the lady on the other end then tells us tht the room my Mother had been recently moved to DID NOT EXIST, cus because my Mother is in tht EXACT ROOM “ That wasn’t on their building “ (her exact words) …. For a place in just a Suburban location I did expect WAY more professionalism but they have fallen short of expectations for me they get a

I am not one to write reviews but I feel strongly to write one about this facility in hopes to help improve patient care. I work in healthcare and highly value patient care and experience which is why I would not recommend sending your loved ones to this facility. I am only giving 2 stars because the therapy and food service was adequate. My mom was here temporarily following a surgery that left her needing assistance… nursing & PCA staff would not answer call lights for hours, would not do showers (I actually had to shower my mom myself before they would … absolutely unacceptable). Whenever I would visit, nearly every day, I would have to help my mom to the bathroom because they would not come. Because of the lack of help from the nursing staff, when I was not available to assist my mother, she fell on two separate occasion attempting to make it to the bathroom herself and both times was left stuck for long periods of time before anyone came to check on her. While there are a few staff members here who do a fine job, there are far too many who are nor which overshadows any redeeming qualifications. Please do better.

I thought the laurels of heath was bad until I moved my sister to this place and I do believe it was worse which I didn't think was possible. Please do not put your loved one in this HORRIBLE place! ZERO STARS

My grandmother has been in 4 different places and The Laurels of Norworth is the only one she has called “home. ” She enjoys the frequent social activities, and she looks forward to being with the many new friends she has made. The staff treat her with respect and caring. We couldn’t be happier with our decision for our grandmother to live there.

Great facility the administration is amazing! The Director of nursing is a spit fire, she has so much compassion towards the residents. The Administrator is always around and willing to answer any questions you have:

I was blown away with the compassion and care that the staff has provided for my family. The facility is clean and very welcoming. I would highly recommend using them.

I was so impressed at discharge, the social worker had everything arranged. I was kept up to date about my loved ones care. I couldn’t thank the staff enough

It amazes me a facility like this still is around. Other places you can’t find the staff, I’ve never had this issue finding them or getting help for my mom

I had an excellent experience with The Laurels of Norworth's team. They were kind, professional, knowledgable, and compassionate. It was a pleasure to work with Bill, Brittany, and Courtney. Every employee I came into contact with was excellent!
