Thank you to all the staff of The Laurels of Steubenville. I have been working with you all now for 3 months and I
Am so very impressed with the services offered from Nursing Care and how much the aides working care for the residents. The activities schedule is great and the residents love the daily activities that are both informative and fun. Great staff!

Having our dad at a nursing home was one of the hardest decisions we ever had to make. We also have been blessed beyond words of how wonderful our dad is treated there. Katheryn, the director, has gone above and beyond to help us. No matter what the situation was, she goes the extra mile to make it right. The nurses, aides, food servers, and cleaning staff have been beyond sweet and kind to our dad. They always make sure he's well taken care of and that means the world to our family. Thank you!

Making a decision to put your love one in a facility is a very difficult decision. My dad has been in the Laurels for 3 months now. I can not say enough about the staff that work there. They always go above and beyond to help my dad or just taking time to talk with him. I am so impressed by the Laurels and so happy I made the decision. I could not of picked a better place for my father!

My aunt was in the Laurels for rehab though not long before she passed away she was alway clean and looked nice. Her clothes were laundered and looked nice and neat. Even though she was a picky eater the food looked decent enough. Katherine was phenomenal in helping family with the process. I can’t thank her enough. As with any facility some staff was great while others were not and much of that depends on personalities. I’m thankful they took such good care of my aunt and would recommend them.

My father is entered this facility for rehabilitation after hip surgery. His surgeon clearly stated that getting up and moving during the first days after his procedure is vital to his recovery. He’s been up in the chair just once. When I arrived yesterday at 1p he hadn’t been out of bed at all. Breakfast and lunch trays were still sitting in his room. 4p rolled around and still nothing, not even encouragement to move his feet. I asked what was going on and was told he said his abdomen hurt when they tried to get him up in the morning. Really? ! So that's it for the day?
My father lived on his own, drove and lived an active life before his fall. He was sent to The Laurels for rehabilitation, not convalescent care. I will need to get him out if there and to a place that will make his recovery the priority.
