Le Bar A Boeuf reviews
13Mary Lou Is such a delight! I was a first time diner and will not be upon my next visit! Such a complimentary staff and Emily the bartender was on point and knowledgeable.
I saw a review that said the food was great but that the atmosphere was like an awful country club and that he hated his experience.
I’ve gotta say he is spot on about the ambiance, and I think his review is correct for him and many others…but for another type of diner I think that review missed the charm and point of the place.
This place is a total hilarious scene. For a person who came of age in the ironic aughts…this is a hilarious Cincinnati version of Le Grenouille. Like Grenouille the food is good bordering on great, but it’s really all about the scene.
The host will basically spit at you as they seat you and you’ll be offended…until you realize it’s part of the show.
I had a fantastic time there. And the food is excellent for the area.
Google description needs updating as this is more fine dining and less burgers - although I did have the one burger left in the menu and it was outstanding. Fries were delicious as well. Great service and beautiful views. Definitely will be back!
Cozy charming and eclectic hilltop spot with river views and scrumptious food did not disappoint! Escargot was beautifully presented and the herby breadcrumbs were a welcome addition to the garlic butter. The fois gras on special was divine. Perfectly grilled, melt-in-your-mouth goodness, but maybe a bit overdressed although the accompaniments, especially the mushrooms, were delicious. Standard fare sea scallops were perfectly cooked as was the accompanying spring pea risotto. The special tenderloin was served at the absolute best temperature and was very tender. Nice selection of wines and great service from Alex made the evening so enjoyable. Ask for a window seat or, if the weather permits, a seat on the balcony to really enjoy the view.
Absolutely Amazing! Everything to the hostess, server, staff, the courses, and the incredible desserts.
It was great seeing Marylou. Our experience was lovely. Mom and I had escargot, beet salad, signature burger and the duck dinner. Everything was delicious!
Derrick our server made our experience most enjoyable! Can't wait to come back!
First time dining here. Enjoyed cocktails at the bar to start with another couple. Barkeep was very engaging and also made great drinks. Once we were seated the expectations dwindled. Young lady offered water and was friendly. Then our server appeared and was not great. Shouldn’t be working at a restaurant of this caliber. He rattled off the specials and then was ready to take our order. No we wanted to enjoy our cocktails and catch up with our friends. He showed up twice in the next 5 minutes. Are you ready to order now. No we were not. At that point he was acting as being put out and then didn’t show up again. It just seamed from the server and also from the hostess that we were being rushed. The place was not crowded. The food was very good but I’ve had better. The lamb was not cooked to order and the sea scallops were under cooked. After serving our food he never returned to check on the table. I cannot recommend nor will I return. Pathetic service %
A wonderful dinner, served in a timely and friendly manner, by Kelsey, before our theatre timing. We will be back!
Amazing dishes (we got several of the specialties). So delicious! Service was fabulous and very nice ambiance.
Darren was beyond impressive. Highly attentive, personable, and very knowledgeable. Probably the best waiter I’ve ever had.
We also send high complements to the chef, Jordan. All of the food was delicious and presentation was great. He came out to see how everything was at the table which added that much more to the service.
Still sitting here, came for the “customizable burgers” of which there was one. Food was delicious but the staff was clearly too bothered to wait on us. Almost 20 minutes just to make eye contact and then very abrupt. Weird place. Won’t be back. RIP Jean Robert, maybe they are just having a tough time
Food and experience was over the top good. I will be back. Sorry to not have Jean Robert with us.
