I’ve edited my review because I appreciate the response and the moment to address just general customer service. People don’t always look like a typical customer and it’s nice to be treated well always. Understanding that there are volunteers helping the cause is great. Take care

+1 star because they had a wider selection than anticipated walking in. That's the end of the positives.

I was not greeted upon entering the store despite multiple employees/volunteers being present at the front of the store. I browsed jewelry and handbags at the front of the store for several minutes, and was observed that I was being watched closely - but not once asked if needed assistance. I browsed cases AT the service desk. Still ignored.

When I inquired on the process for getting service, the gentlemen told me flatly "You have to ask. We're low pressure sales. ". He also asked me to repeat everything I said after the initial statement, implying I couldn't be understood through my mask. I was speaking clearly and loudly. I immediately even more unwelcome and uncomfortable and left the store despite wanting to purchase several items.

I cannot definitively attribute my experience to being a person of color and/or due to wearing a mask, but I can't rule it out. This is especially disappointing as a part of the very community this store is supposed to support. I will not be returning.

Best place to find beautiful, quality furniture and home furnishings.as well as lots of other treasure! Artwork, designer handbags and accessories, fine and costume jewelry too. Whether you are shopping, consigning or donating. This is by FAR the best source!

My spouse and I love this shop and support it. We've found some treasures. It is a great way to help with the cancer cure.

Love going here to just look and occasionally find something for the house at a good price, supporting a good cause.

First time at Legacies. Very nice merchandise. The volunteer workers were very friendly and helpful. We ended up buying a very nice 35 yo leather chair.

My parents have dealt with Legacies for a decade. They are downsizing. Had an inquiry about a couch set. The staff said they could probably not sell the item, but they could donate it to a needy family. My parents thought that was ok. They entered a few days later to see their couches listed for about 700 dollars. When they inquired they were told the couches had sold and would receive no money. THEY LIED. We are filing a report with the Better Business Bureau.

BEWARE, NOT all is as it seems or they say! I should have read the other reviews before consigning w/this place like others have WARNED! If an employee or family member of an employee wants an item you bring in to consign, they mark it WAY below the normal starting selling price (like 50% before to start off what they normally do from day 1), then discount it AGAIN BEFORE the alloted stated timeframe they specify in their contract to cosign w/them. Then they discount it again w/20% so the employees can buy it dirt cheap! Basically like fraud & scam if you really think about it. They don't put the regular usual time slots & prices if an employee there likes it & wants it, they basically make it so they can have it for near FREE from the jump & day 1 & give no one else a chance to buy it for the right price first & the customer make their money for the right timeframe it should be out before discounted. This is NOT right, ethical or moral by any means whatsoever. Makes me question the entire 'Cancer Charity' thing as well if they have employees who can do this & such an abhorrent unethical thing to basically give away nice items customers come in to consign & expect that they will be properly priced, sat out for the STATED allotted timeframe promised before being discounted further & then before being discounted again after that timeframe. ALL items should be treated the same way as they promised & be priced appropriately to the store's guidelines fairly NOT based on if one of their employee's wants it for themselves, so they screw the customer & mark it way below the normal appropriate starting price & then discount it way sooner to ensure the employee gets it. I doubt the item ever even gets sit out when an employee wants it! I am so disappointed & lost trust in this place & their values & moral compass. Right is right & wrong is wrong. If you have stated promised timeframes for items consigned, they should be fully utilized as promised & prices should not be discounted at first time slot as also promised. That's not what happened w/our items & it's not right. If the owners are in on this scheme too, shame on them. If they & their employees want an item when it comes in on day one, they should pay what any other customer would for wanting it on day one & not dupe the consigner just b/c the employees want it. That's NOT right, no way, no how, no shape or form & you know it isn't! Be better people! God is watching & sees every action & your heart & intentions when you beat the very selling system you have in place just b/c you want an item that comes in, doesn't mean you get to screw the consigning customer who brought it in. I will be watching much closer w/my remaining items, taking pictures of the items, prices on them & have others stopping in anonymously to check on them too & keep an eye out for anymore deception or break in procedure or time frames. This is a public business where you promise consigners certain procedures, timeframes & pricing for consigning & if you are not doing & following those procedures fully, you are in fact not living up to your end of the contract of consigning. Every consigner should be able to trust what your procedure is will be followed correctly as promised for their items. The system is not based on if your employees want something, we have to take less & they get our items near free. That's not right & you all know it. How would you feel, put yourself in our places? It's not right to take items & sell them to your employees for way cheaper from the start & not make them pay what any other customer would & then screw the consigner out of that timeframe sell & full length of price at full price. It's really sad you can't trust anyone anymore today. REALLY SAD!

Rude. Short. Interrupted me after three words on the phone. Have a one of a kind Very nice table that could benefit this place’s cancer cause. Which I now even question. When doing anything for a “cause” would seem to mean there are compassionate, caring people behind it. Seems like a Front to me. Slap the words ‘To benefit cancer’ on a business and caring people show up. “Upscale”’doesn’t have to mean rude and better than you. Does here.

I always have fun looking around here, they have some unique jewelry and art and it’s a great store to walk around and find little things. They have furniture that is very well made and I purchased a loveseat that is very comfortable

This is a great consignment shop in Hyde Park Plaza that has everything from furniture to cake platters and bird cages. The inventory changes constantly so you never know what you'll find. It's a fun store to explore and it's super conveniently located next to Snooty Fox. When my wife is shopping next door for clothes I come here to go treasure hunting.

Found a great piece of art for a great price! And unmatched service from the staff - they went to great lengths (such as wiring the back for us).
