Liberty Aviation Museum reviews
13My father in law flew in the PBY planes in World War Two and he is 98 years old. They let him tour the whole PBY plane they have inside and out and have many other planes, boats, cars, etc. It is a great place to visit.
Excellent collection of aviation history. There is much to discover and learn. A living museum with access to their restoration areas, the highlights are restored flying B-25 Mitchell bomber airworthy PBY and a Grumman TBM Avenger torpedo bomber. Lots of interesting detailed explanations.
Very nice museum with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lot's of great WWII items and some interesting restoration work being done.
The tri motor plane was a neat ride in history and they have many restored and being restored historic things. Little gem close by.
The young woman who sells tickets is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. It was our first time visiting this museum and we highly reccomend it to all. There is a lot to see, very interesting facts about flying to and from the Erie Islands. There is a Tri motor and so much more on display. All beautifully restored and operational. Unfortunately, the diner was not open but we will be back to eat there in the future. A must see place to visit!
Great collection of regional and WWII history. Eclectic to see a PT Boat in the collection, but it works and was fascinating to talk with one of the docents about the collection. If your a history fan, this museum is a must
If you are interested in history, this is your place. Airplanes, Jeeps, cars and all types of information and artifacts.
Read sign in door if go, we thought they were closed, the Diner and gift shop was. Made a mistake, was confused, too bad
This place is amazing! I drive 2 hrs. Definitely worth it! Not just aviation. All forms of military vehicles and paraphernalia.
Rode the Tin Goose! Awesome experience! Very neat video presentation of Island Airlines and Put-N-Bay! Neat museum!
Great museum with lots to look at and lots of history! Worth the price for sure which was only $10 a person for military families. Facility is pet friendly which is great for those traveling with theirs! We got to see the B-25 fly on the air which is definitely a once in a lifetime experience! Lots of walking though so be prepared! The diner wasn’t open when we went due to short staffing. The staff was great and knowledgeable about t everything!
What an awesome collection of history. We spent an hour and a half we will be back later this summer, my personal favorite is the Hogans heroes collection stood there for 5 minutes,
Fantastic little aviation museum. Lots of restoration projects in progress. Great 1950’s historic diner ‘The Tin Goose’ was fun to eat at.
